GM's big incentive has been announced - a 100,000 mile 5-year warranty on all powertrain components for 2007 models and beyond. It includes roadside assistance and transportation.

Sweet.

What to you mean hopefully? It does, all GMs get it. They should offer the same for bumper to bumper warranty.

GM set to offer longer warranties - Sep. 6, 2006 (http://money.cnn.com/2006/09/06/autos/gm_warranties/index.htm)

I applaud the move, but GM still needs to get in touch with its existing customer base, acknowledging problems that do remain and offering solutions. The comment that repairs under warranty are down can mean one of two things (or a combo of both)... fewer issues or fewer issues acknowledged and repaired vs blaming the driver. The diff, for example, is a black cloud hanging over my ownership. I watch the odometer petrified of the day it clicks to 50,000.
