hey everyone, my very first post. I love the forum and i was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me.

two weeks ago my deville experienced a radiator blow out on a 100+ degree day. there was a small crack in the radiator that i fixed with some radiator stop leak. The problem i have is now when i want to cool the engine by turning on the heater, the a/c unit kicks on and blasts cold air on my feet. I know the a/c is on because i felt the condensor unit and it is cold. i dont thinki its my heater core because when i turn the heat on it is very hot to begin with but when the a/c turns on i think the a/c and the heat are being mixed. please help!

by the by, i have the 4.5 liter engine.

the heater and the A/c are supposed to be mixed! sounds like you have air in the system. system is not completely full. compressor is always powered except in "econ" mode. also I think you should not drive until cooling system holds pressure.
