Does any one know how to remove the oil pan on a 98 sts. I have unbolted nearly everything on the exhaust and oil pan but am afraid the tranny will have to come out to get the pan off. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I don't think it can be done with the engine in the car.

It can be done with the engine in the car. It cannot be done with the transmission in the car, period. If it's a nuisence leak you're trying to fix... I suggest living with it.

I ended up dropping the cradle and pulling the engine off that, but I'm also replacing the subframe.

You need an engine support fixture and the transmission has to come out minimum.
Otherwise you need to remove the powertrain, separate the engine from the trans and flip it over to work on.
Because of the design of the exhaust crossover it cannot be done in the car.
