Hey everyone,
I was looking at a 1999 STS and it was really nice except "EXP ID 140" kept on popping up on the display. The check engine light was also on. So I checked the codes and there were no current codes only a couple history ones. So I cleared the codes and check engine lamp turned off but the "EXP ID 140" keeps popping up. Does anyone know what this means?

Ummmmm..... It Expired In December at 1:40pm.....?

Sorry I have no clue.... Maybe someone else will chime in.... Hint hint....

EDIT: Wait you said that it did have codes? What were the codes? It may have something to do with it.

On the Canadian export cars an EXP ID number is displayed in the event that the buyer's first language isn't English. EXP ID 140 is the same message as "Drivers Door Ajar". All the possible messages are listed in the owners manual, and each message has a number associated with it. There isn't anything to worry about with EXP ID 140.

I bet that's reprogrammable through the IPC overrides!

I didn't know the IPC overrides applied to the 98 and up Sevilles. I know that adding the coolant temperature isn't possible.
