So whats you mileage. I have broken down the octane rating as well as that does make a differance

MPG?

Mine is ugly. 11.8 or something like that. All back road travel.

Just over 13 (13.2)

I think 12 or 13 would be a more useful breakpoint than 16 but just IMHO.

Of course the biggest factor is how much you get on the highway and use 6th gear . . .

I generally avg around 12 but have gotten closer to 20 on an interstate road trip.

Shell or Chevron 93 Octane - City driving- 45 miles round trip to and from work. 14-17 mpg depending on how the car is driven. (based on onboard computer).

Highway trips, 91 or 93 Octane, fuel brand may vary but try to stick with Shell, Chevron, or Citgo. Speed avg 75-85 mph, 21-25mpg. A smooth 78mph can net me 25mpg. (based on onboard computer)

I use 91 Octane and I'm 19.6. I was SHOCKED when it came up as I have not looked at it for MONTHS.

That has gone UP as time has gone by because I don't beat on it like I use too.

EDIT: MODS: I do not seem to be able to edit the poll. Can you add options for "15.0 - 16.9 MPG" and "14.9 or less".

also, I am in Canada and I know that a CDN gallon is not the same as an Imperial Gallon. I wonder if my "high" gas mileage is impacted by that?

93 octane always. 12.8 - 13.2 always on my display, unless an extended highway trip. Resetting the MPG readout before the trip netted 20 MPG on an 800 mile round trip.

Pretty much identical here. Maybe 1 mpg lower (with a maggie)

I need a Maggie

I'm between 11 and 13 in the city and 21-25 on the highway all on 87 octane. I'm an "enthusiastic" driver too.

My lowest average around town was about 8.

I changed my driving habits

I get between 11 and 13 now, 18 on a trip.

I don't think I got over 20 when it was stock!

Two weeks or so ago I was right around 16.8, 16.9. Then I got stopped for speeding. Ever since, that baby has been creeping up, creeping up, and now I'm at 17.5. I wonder if there's a correlation?

Always use 92-93 Octane and drive daily 40+ mile round trip. Almost all of my trip is on the I-20/I-30 Speedway, so 100+ mph sprints are available at some point on most tankfuls.
I love Texas :)

Average around 18.5 mpg on a normal commuting week.
Nice poll design, btw.

21-22 MPG on each and every tank of 93 octane. Get 25-26 at 70 MPH cruise. 95% of my driving is idle to 2000 RPM. I'm usually in 6th gear at 35-40 MPH.

Yeah, yeah, I know ... I should be driving an Escort. :hide:

P.S. I did take my neighbor for a little 10 MPH to redline in 1st, a hard 2nd gear on up to redline again the other day. He liked the Nav system, too. :)

I'm averaging 17.4 and that's over 30k miles without resetting anything. Not bad for car of this caliber...... I don't baby it and I'm into the throttle a lot. It see's good REV's on most shifts from taking off, I don't short shift it, I like to hear the Corsa rumble......

I do drive quite a bit frerweway.... but with my HEAVY foot most of the time, I think it's a moot point.

I drive the crap out of my V, have a serious lead foot, and strive to beat the cubes many, many times a day, and my overall average MPG is about 15.4. Gas lasts just slightly longer than meth and the rear tires are right behind that. Then there's oil every once in a while :D

I average 14.6 mpg. When I am on the highway holding between 75 and 80, my instant mpg reads between 26 and 28 most of the time.

I just made a trip from columbia sc, to washington DC and I averaged 24.4 mpg and traveled 420miles before my low fuel light went on. That was the farthest I have ever traveled on a tank of gas.

When I drove to Vegas and back (3000 miles) I averaged 24 mpg.

Interestingly I have always heard - no one take offense - that CDN gas was better then US gas. Maybe my 19.6 mpg is means its true.

Just got back from Calgary, bout 180 miles?
Average speed - 73
Average mileage - 21.3
Just over 1200 miles on the odometer
Driven fairly hard, I love the sound at =/- 3000rpm, can`t wait for my B&B exhaust and headers...

I average 16mpg with combined city/hwy driving. On the long trip to San Diego last year I averaged 21mpg trying to keep a pace of 80mph. Going up the Grapevine which is correct me if I'm wrong, 4000ft, the maggie just whistled slightly in 6th gear. The instant gas mileage read 10mpg.

As for track, I'm right there with Dennis. ;)

P-Funk - I average about the same, b/t 14.5-15.2, I drive mostly back roads to work each day, a little stop & go traffic.

Also, it's been over 100 degrees here for the last 20 days and I run the A/C constantly. The heat would effect performance, but any thoughts on how much the A/C cuts into our mileage?

I think I've seen the instant mpg change maybe 2 or 3 mpg when I turned my A/C off but I've only done that once or twice. It is too hot here for me not to use my A/C.
