One of these pics is more recent and the interior looks hot. It's been all but confirmed the new 3.6VVT will have DI and 300hp, so I was surprised to see the mention of 280hp (bad info?).

I never seen the video though. So thanks anyway for posting!

And why are so many whining about the footbrake??? MB has it too. I think it is nice to have more space in the mid console!

The article doesn't really say that the next CTS will have 280 hp. They kinda say that 280 would probably be sufficient to keep the car on par with the competition. WHich is bullshit tho...needs 300 hp. The next Acura is gonna have 3, BMW 330 will bump to 270 or so in a much lighter car, LExus, Infiniti both have 300. Volvo has 300. CTS needs 300 just to compete.

and everyone, stop looking at peak horsepower, look at how wide our power band is. thats how us 3.6L guys keep walking away from our 300hp competitors

I like the video, I haven't seen it before, but the pics are old.

I get more and more excited, not about the exterior, but the interior. I can't wait to see the new instrument cluster, and the sweeping V shape of the ceneter stack, I love it!

Aside from that, i'm dying for AWD and at least 280hp out of the 3.6 I'm very happy with my 255 but the more hp and tq the better. A 6 speed transmission would be nice too.

its supposed to have the new 6 speed auto tht is available in the 06 sts.

awd? not likely, its already in the SRX if you want to swap it over.
yeah, have fun with that.

As for the 6-speed I'll wait to see what the specs are when GM releases them, I'm continually let down by guessing haha.

AWD not likely? Why would you say that? Almost every one of the CTS' competitors (entry level luxury market) offer an AWD variant for the snow belt. Traction control and snow tires work well, but I prefer AWD if it's availible:

3-series, c-class, S40, A4, g35x, IS 250, the TL is supposed to offer it next gen (SH-AWD). The 9-3 is another GM product without AWD.

For the purists there is a 6-speed manual and RWD. For thoose who are willing to trade a little understeer a tenth of a second 0-60 and 1mpg for more drivability where is our AWD? I'd line up for one. Hell the new 328Cxi looks nice from BMW.... 230hp coupe with AWD, yum

SRX AWD Swap... haha. I wonder... lol

We might keep up with a new G35 , but the Volvo S60r and Lexus IS350 pull pretty easy from us.
