I believe you will have rubbing issues with this series tire. The highest you should probably go with is 305/35/24 which is very sufficient. Many members say that the 35 series tires feel just like stock.

Thanks.

Other than a bit of "groove steer" or railroading, which is normal with large wheels. The 35 series really do feel like stock. I have P-zero's and I think the ride/handling is superior.

Stick with 35 series, because I have the 35s and it does rub a little bit on the front driver side plastic, but i trimmed that and now its gone.

So I would think the 40 series would rub even more.

285/40-24s is what I recommend.

I've heard 295/35/24 is good too. The differenece in a 305 vs. a 295 is minscule. We'll see when I throw mine on in few more weeks.

I just put some 24" rims with 305/35/24 tires and they DO in fact rub a bit when turning. Can anyone explain how exactly they got rid of that rubbing? I heard that with some zip ties, another person said that they cut some of the wheel well off. I want to know exactly how it was done, IF it can be done by oneself. This is on an '04 EXT by the way :)

Go with the 35 series... I have Giovanna's with 305/35/24 Pirelli's & they did rub but only when making very hard turns, either right or left... I did the trim & zip tie thing & the rubbing is 99% gone... The only time they rub now is when I'm backing out of a driveway to the street & there's that point where you turn the wheels & go from driveway to street, but if I back straight out they won't rub at all.

Do a search on "rub" or "rubbing"..

Lots of info and pics will come up.
