I just bought a "platinum" 04 ESV. It came with a K&N FIPK intake and some kind of very loud exhaust. When I punch it, the truck will shift at 6k rpms which Im not crazy about. Im assuming the thing has been reprogrammed.
How can I change it back to stock settings before bringing it in for service? I dont want to flush my warranty down the toilet..... Can I buy a Jet programmer and make it factory before taking it in? What is the best programmer out there for the 6.0?
Love this truck!
i think...
you should find out who pragrammed it
When they installed the new programme it copied the stock one to the device, so the only way you can reinstall the stock pragramme is by using a device that contains it.
all programmers bought contain aftermarket programmes.
i think you will have to take into into a dealership
As said the dealer can reset it back to the stock tune. It maybe the stock tune, it would be tough to tell.

do you still have the stock 20" rims it came with? I'd love to buy the platinum rims but haven't been able to find a deal yet. If you're interested in selling them i'd like to work something out with you.

just a thought...how hard does it shift? does it feel like its slipping? do you know if it has a shift kit? have you check the tranny fluid? hopefully, its just the tune but if you bought the truck that whay, there "may" be other issues there because you "really" never know how well the previous owner took care of her...
If you purchased it from a dealer get them to set it back to stock, they can do that.

I'm looking for a Platinum grille, so.. If you're like a custom grille, I'd love to trade.. There's a link to pictures of my ESV in my signature...
