Does anyone know a procedure or know someone that sells the Lockpick that overrides the 2005 -2006 Escalade Touch Screen Radio so you can utilize all the navigation buttons while in motion or you can watch DVDs on the screen? I have searched all the forums but have been unable to get an answer. Thanks for the replies. Bob

for video.....you need an external player, and get either the nav tv unit......or the pac unit.

do a search for PAC VCI-GM2 on google.....that will get you the module to get video into the stock screen. you will have 2 inputs......one for a backup camera that turns on with the vehicle in reverse....and another thats on a switch. flip it one way it shows stock video.....flip it the other way it shows the external video input. then for audio...you need an audio interface module.....i used the PAC AAI-GM24, with this you get two external audio inputs....i have an ipod and my ps2 hooked up.....the ps2 is also used for video, such as movies.

look to spend about 300 on the gm2, and 90 on the gm24.

then to beable to change nav options while driving, you need to put a switch inline with the VSS wire. do a search on here for VSS wire, its a green and white on in the small plug of the nav unit. i don't remember which one exactly though.

get a "GM Lockpick" it will allow you to watch movies on the front screen while moving and will unlock the Navigation system when moving.

lockpick won't work for these years......only the 07's
