I have a noticable vibration in the front end starting at about 40-50 mph. I just had a 4-wheel alignment and the pressure checked in the tires. Also the right side tie rod and idler arm was just replaced.

Can bad tire balancing cause bad vibration. Any suggestions would help. I have a 2002.

Yes. What I would do is inspect the ft end components and if everything looked good you can rotate the ft tires to the back and see if it goes away.

Good Luck.

Were the tires high speed balanced? If not, get it. It will almost always turn up a bad tire too.

As said probably bad balancing. Hunter has a road force balancer, I saw on another truck site people talking about how good it works.

I had the tires done today. The majority of the vibration went away, but I still feel something. I dont know what else to check as far as the suspension goes.

What do you guys run for air pressure with 22 inch rims (305/40/22)?

I still have the vibration. I am running out of things to check. It only vibrates when it get up to speed around 60+.

I took the rims off to check the hub spacing. There is about a 2mm gap. I would think that would be to small to notice.

What other sterring components could cause this?

have you tried mounting the tires with the least amount of weights on the front? Although the shop should have already done that. :hmm: Did you go to the same shop that did it the first time? Your balance is only as good as the tech and the equipment he uses. Also I usually run my tire pressure a few psi below max psi listed on the sidewall. In my case I have 24" Kuhmo's and I run about 40-42psi.
