I have been thinking about getting some custom dash pieces.. myabe a white woodgrain or something.. anyone have this done?

Not yet but I have been talking to Pheonix Imaging about getting a black marble with blue veins through it. The Cost will be about 1100 for all of the wood pieces done.

I've considered doing this, but how do you paint the steering wheel? I know how it can be painted, but how do you keep the paint from not peeling or sucking it up with your hands...?

Put a coat of clear on. Same as automotive paint. Those prefab kits have a layer of clear or laminate put on afterwards.

i dont think that they are painted but then again i have no idea.. i have emailed some companies that do this.. you can also find them on ebay.. i just do a search for "carbon fiber avalanche" and it comes up... the guy said they can do any finish... basically you pay for the pieces and send in the stock ones.. or you pay a little extra and keep your stock pieces..

I'd like to get rid of my woodgrain stuff and get something that lookes like brushed aluminum or something to that effect. also does anyone know how you go about buying designer fabrics? I was thinking it would be cool to have some stuff done in louis vuitton fabric but i haven't the slightest idea how to get it

This is what I am going to get done but the colors will be black with blue veins. This company uses a process called hydrographics... basically it is a tub of water with a film over the top the piece is then dipped in and the image on the top of the water is formed onto the panel, ALOT more durable than paint and it does not show imperfection as bad.http://www.phoenix-image.com/Desktop%20Wallpaper%20&%20Icons/1024x768/SonyEscalade.jpg

I think it would look great if you painted yours white diamond to match. I did this with my black EXT but have no pictures to show. I had a body/paint shop sand the all the wood parts and them painted back. A layer of clear was shot after for a nice gloss.
