Obviously the V8 is more powerful, but the torque curve on the V6 is flatter and you get max torque earlier. I wasn't looking for power 'cause when I feel the need I drive my Porsche. THe SRX is strictly our family truckster. :D 2004_SRX_ 02-13-04, 03:43 PM I haven't driven the V6 but I doubt it's sluggish. There really is no need for 320 HP, I just like fast vehicles. I'm sure the wife won't care how many cylindars are under the hood. hog4oc 02-16-04, 08:38 PM i drive v6, no sluggsh feeling, flat power band, i like putting 91 gasline, don't like the performance of 87 gasline on this engine. b4z 02-16-04, 10:42 PM Test drove the V6 RWD Friday and there is nothing sluggish about this vehicle. VVT helps with low end power as does the 3.73 rearend and the 3.52 1st gear in the 5 speed auto transmission. Excellent off the line power. c5 rv 02-17-04, 07:58 PM I also thought the 3.6 V6 was fine for the SRX when I took a test drive. However, I was the only one in the unloaded vehicle. Maybe if it was loaded up with people and cargo, it would be a different story. hog4oc 02-23-04, 02:29 AM I have v6 and i add the cold air intake, it is fast! | |
