i have a 2004 escalade, and my glovebox is hard to shut. i actually have to slam it to stay shut. when its shut, its latched securly, and doesn't rattle or anything.

is this normal to have to slam it shut? or is it easily adjusted. i'm putting a ps2 in there and i don't want to have to slam it shut!

Mine too...pisses me off every time I go to the bank and get a pen out of the glove box.

Many times if you adjust the latch it will fix this problem. :)

Haha! :histeric: I do the exact same thing when I go to the bank. I never have a pen with me so I always open my glovebox to get the pen out of the black case. The Cadillac pen? Oh, and I don't have any problems with my 2005 glovebox. I wonder if the latch is any different between 2004 and 2005?

all i had to do on mine was unscrew the "U" bolt thing. (the part the glove box latches onto)

when i looked at it, it was bent upwards, which would explain the touch latching. i just bent it back out slightly, screwed it back on.........and bingo, it clicks with little effort.
