While changing my starter, 92 Eldo 4.9, I found a broken wire end. On the grounding stud there are 3 wires. The battery ground, A\C ground, and a smaller wire. The small one is broken off and I can't find the wire it should connect to. Anyone know where it goes ?

I sure miss the old days when members could, and would, try and help. Maybe I'l stop back when I buy an Escalade and want advice on the best 44" Spinners to put on it.

I can't tell you what the missing wire is for, but I DO know that all those ground lines travel in the same loom... so it should be there somewhere.
I'm willing to bet that, when it broke off, someone cut the wire back to get it out of the way. Check in the same loom as the other two.
As I don't have a FSM for that vehicle I'm sorry I can't be any better help.
Please try to be a bit more patient. Not everyone has the free time to be online every day... and it's possible someone else is out there doing research--that you could be doing-- to attempt to help.:stirpot:
I'm sure you would prefer accurate information that is superior to what I provided above. If I can get it for you, I will (and I'm sure others will), but that does not mean that I can get it today.
It's quite possible someone else has had this question but hasn't been online to see this.
One last thing... If you are able to answer your question, PLEASE POST what you found! It may be helpful to others...:bouncy:

Well, thanks Leeb. You're entirely right. I was thinking about this site from the old days, when I joined. Back when I was among the less than 10 supporting members.
Back then, people tried to help. And I answered any question that I could. And I don't remember ever once telling anyone to "go to search, this has been talked about many times" and then not trying to answer the question anyway. That's a pretty sandard response here these days.
But I'll take your suggestion and do my own research. Sorry I cut into anyone's attempt to over ride their DVD player and get it to play while in drive.
Oh. you saw that one too...

I took a look thru my FSM for my 86 but couldn't find anything 'definitive' other than it showing that those ground wires are included in the loom that runs to the starter...
At least, for the 86...
Doubt that helps much, but if I find anything that might, I'll post it.

You might wanna also try posting this question in the Seville/Eldo section because it gets WAY more traffic than this section. And I'm sorry that I'm not much help either.
