Does any one have any sugestions on what performance parts would be the best to give a 2003 ext some more kick? I was thinking of getting a chip , exhaust and a charger. I want to keep it a daily driver but i want to be able to smoke some cars at the red lights. Any sugestions would be greatly apprecaited-Mike:want:

I had a jet performance programmer.. This is one of the best things if you are looking to gain some HP... i installed it and the truck flew.. very quick... i also have a volant intake.. gave a nice growl when stepping on it and quiet while cruising.. im on the fence on selling my programmer.. they go on ebay for like 340-350.. i only had mine for about a month not even.. looking to sell for aroun 310 shipped if interested..

I may be wrong but, those programmers are designed with a "marry" feature so that they can't be used with multiple vehicles. They store the ecu serial number of the first vehicle they're attached to and won't activate unless the same serial number is detected. That way they'e likley to sell more than one.

yes.. you can only program one vehicle at a time.. i put the stock program back on my vehicle... so now the programmer can work with any 02-06 escalade... if i were to sell only the buyer can use it.. he/she cant go around programming 5 eascalade's...basically what the programmer does is upload the sport programming and it saves your factory programming.. i reuploaded the factory so now the programmer can be reused.. they did this so one person doesnt buy one and then charge people to use it..

Hey. I think the programmer identifies itself with the vin it was originally programmed to. Even if you reprogram back to stock. When you first used it was when it programmed/mated itself to your vin#.
Hey good advice for upgrades though. Programmer, air intake, catback exhaust. Nice start. Beware though...Mod FEVER takes over and look out!! I started with cutting out the top of my stock air filter casing to see how much better my F150 drove...$15K later I was luvvin my MOD FEVER DISEASE!! Now I sold my f150 and shopping for an EXT. (LIFTED of course)

as stated once the programmer has reinputed the stock programming it clears the vin... i have 3 escalades and i just tried it to make sure.. i can program all my escalades... as stated i cannot program all 3 to have performance mods.. i can only do one at a time.. if i wanted to do another one i would have to reprogram the stock prgram in and move on... so thsi programmer is good for any 02-06 escalade..

Those F*ers at Jet are smart, I didn't know about puting the stock program back on would let you program another vehicle.

basically they dont want one person to buy a programmer nd then program like 20 differnet vehicles.. if they let that happen than a aftermarket company could just tell a person 50 to program their vehicle and then just keep using the same programmer.. this way a person buys it and can only use it on their car until they dont want it anymore in which case they just upload the stock program back on and then the programmer is good ot use on a nother car..

Some chips when you return the vehicle back to stock you can now use that chip on another vehicle. Now when your looking in to doing performance on your esc you should start with the fundamentls likes headers, cat back exhaust and high flow cats. this will lower your Exhaust gas tempatures so you can flow more power when you go adding it. exhaust temp is also im portant on gas cars because if not your cats go into over temp mode and start dumping fuel and you loose hp. adriansixto@bellsouth.net
