Greetings,

I will be picking up my recently delivered gold mist esv tomorrow--what are anyone's thoughts on Total Care packages such as Ziebart?

Any cool dealer accessories I should consider?

The esv is pretty well loaded, everything but sunroof (just could not fit my head properly in the demo--no jokes please).

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

You dont need any of that aftermarket stuff such as rustproofing. The way vehicles are built today some of those aftermarket chemicals could actually promote corrosion trapping moisture between the spray and underbody. You are getting a state of the art truck and if I recall correctly in the 07 brochure it says not to use aftermarket rustproofing. hope this helps!!!! Many happy miles with the truck!!!! They are awesome!:)

I agree. In fact in most cases your warranty will be void even if the dealer installs rust proofing. If you end up having rust problems during the warranty (Which is unlikely with out rust proofing in most areas) they will void your finish warranty. The best defense is to wash the underbody every week in the winter if your state uses salt or other corrosives. You also want to keep your vehicle protected with a good wax. If you should happen to add any aftermarket accessories to the exterior of the vehicle you will want to make sure any penetrations/ screw holes are protected with paint or silicone.

Thanks for your replies. I will take your advice and not use anything. I picked up the esv today and all I and anyone who saw it today was WOW. The gold mist looks great, radio system superb. I have to read the manual to make sure I have all the settings like I want them. Back up camera is very helpful. My dealer mistakenly ordered second seat buckets instead of a bench like I wanted but he knocked off some $$ to seal the deal. Now my wife may want one so we could be trading in our other suv which is a 2000 Yukon XL. If we do I will get the silver exterior and the black interior.

I decided to lease it for 3 years then decide whether to turn in or buy.

The kids really like the 22" wheels.

Congratulations. Definitely post some pictures. I want to see what the 2007 looks like in Gold Mist. I'm sure the 22's make it look nice! Have fun with it!

Thanks.
