i was on my way home from indiana friday night when the service air bag light came on. it went off then came back on the next day and has been coming and going since. now it seems to be on all the time. any idea if its just a sensor or if there is actually a problem with the airbags?

MY WIFE'S CAR DID THAT. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A FAULTY CODE. IT WAS REMOVED WITH THE TECH II TOOL.

I'd get it checked out regardless, that would sux if all 9 bags came out on accident, or none of them came out in an accident! :jawdrop:

What is this "tech II" tool and what does it do? The idiots at the dealer are usually reffering to it.
its a tool they use to interface with the ECU. They can flash it, read trouble codes, and other stuff.
Wasn't the service airbag an issue with hard acceleration or stopping for some people? I think there was a long thread about it not too long ago, you might want to try searching for it
