I purchased a K&N type cone filter with a 4" inlet. Can i take out the stock airbox and install the cone filter to the stock tube?

I think that would cause you to be feeding your intake more hot air from inside the engine compartment:tisk:

I installed a universal cone filter to the end of my stock intake tube and I must say that my car definetely feels a little more responsive. Also the whistle is great, sounds like I am supercharged. I think it is a great mod for $30. It doesn't suck in more hot air and when it will get cold outside I think I will feel even more power.

The cone intake WILL suck in more hot air. It only feels more responsive because it's making more noise and you think you are flying.

Whatever whets your whistle though...
