Does anyone know if a dark green 94 SLS would be the same color code as my 97? I have a dent in my trunk and I found one cheap that is in great shape, but I wont be able to put it right next to mine until after I buy it. I dont want my trunk to be a different shade of green.

Sometimes there are differences....

In the trunk, lift up the cover over the spare tire, and look at the underside of it.... there should be a build sheet.

They vary, but on the bottom of mine, paint codes are listed (or just one on mine).

Get the paint code for your car, and then go get the right paint..... or in your case, check the paint code on the donor car against the paint code in your car....

And as CadillacETC97 correctly points out, there may be a difference anyway, even if the codes match.... remember, your car has been out in the sun for 3 extra years.... or maybe your car was garaged it's whole life, and the donor car sat out in the sun it's whole life.... so there may be a slight difference.

Actually, I didn't replace the wing, I replaced the LED in the wing.....

The appearance is identical to the Texas DAR model, except if you order a Texas DAR today, it comes with a 33 inch LED stoplamp... mine is a 31 inch...

Previous owner states that it was on the car when purchased new at the dealer....

Dealership was bought by someone else, nobody there now was there in 1997 when it was put on.....

So, I cannot say with certainty who made it, but I've seen the Texas DAR up close in person, and I would swear it's the same.... except the LED length is wrong.....a bit of a mystery. Although a 31" LED was nearly impossible to find, so perhaps better availability of 33 inch LED's precipitated a design change....

Back to our regularly scheduled topic.

Look up that paint code!
