Is there anyone out there at all that can tell me if it will ever be possible to ever go faster than 112mph in a regular 1999 Deville? I NEED SPEED!!!

Sure! Connect a tow chain between the'99 and my '94 Z rated STS and hold on tight! LOL!

Your '94 STS can tow a 4,000 lb car over 100 MPH? How much nitrous does it take to do that???? :)

No. At least not under it's own power. Where are you gonna drive over 112 anyway?

Devilles are normally equipped with S-rated tires, so the car is set to 112 MPH top speed. Yes, it sucks. Neons will blow past you. I lived with that for several years in my 93 Deville, so I bought myself an STS.

Speaking as someone who probably will never go 112, much less any faster, my 99 concours cam with H tires, does that mean the limiter is set at 130??

I think the best way to tell is to look at the sticker on the door. If it says it came with 'H' rated tires, then the PCM is programmed with the 130 MPH limiter.

Yes, the door sticker says H. Previous owner had new Michelin S tires put on, so I can't go over 112......:tisk:

LOL, my wife would strangle me if she thought I was ever going 90 :thepan:

Thanks for input.....
