A guy bought this Mr2 off an old lady. He said it was pretty dirty but he cleaned it up. It's all original. 1986, with 85K miles.

On his way out he was dragging the frame. Revving and bouncing the truck. Really tacky, really annoying. But, hey, that's what ricers do, so I wasn't suprised.

Speaking of Corvettes.....

There's this rich older lady that lives in my area, she has her vehicles serviced at the dealer where I work at. Now she's got a bit of a habit collecting cars, but not just any cars..Corvettes, but not just any Corvettes, she likes the super rare ones. For example, she's got a ZR-1, and an '03 Z06 that she uses as her DAILY DRIVER, and oh yeah, the 1st C6 Z06 that was sold out of our dealer (she haaaaad to have the 1st one, paid $20,000 over sticker for it...$92,000 total!)

Anyways, that's not what bugs me. What bugs me is she buys one of the most desirable cars in america right now, and NEVER DRIVES IT! She keeps it, a long with all of her other cars in a heated, carpeted garage in her basement. Never to see the light of day. She only brings it in to the dealer for the recall work, and for the yearly checkup, and she doesn't even drive them in, she has them trailered 4 miles to the dealer! How wierd is that! And when they are in the dealer, she wants to do all the work, and she wants the techs to keep their hands off, don't get gas, don't do anything. For example, when her C6 was delivered, the tech has to do the Pre Delivery Inspection, where you take all the tape and covers off the car, well she didn't want the tech to do it, SHE wanted to do it. Well obviously this is against GM's policy so she couldn't do it. I think you get the idea.

And the worst thing is, she's not keeping the miles down so she can sell it later for the most money, she's never gonna sell the cars! What a waste!!

Speedyman, those are some great Vettes. I especially like the silver '70 (or maybe it's a '71 or '72; all three years had the same cross-hatch grille and front fender vents) convertible with the 454. And the engine in that Austin-Healey is abso-freakin'-lutely gorgeous.

I took a bunch of pictures at a show I took Betty to yesterday, but I'm waiting for the power to come back on in St. Louis so I can upload them to Jesda's server.

Chad, that rich bitch should be driving a clapped out '71 Plymouth Fury II like the POS that was my grandmother's last car. She doesn't deserve to have all those Vettes if she's not going to ever drive them. Doesn't she realize that a high-performance sports car is supposed to be driven? Otherwise, it's just expensive fiberglass sculpture. If she wanted to keep the mileage low—that I could understand. But to trailer them to the dealership that's four miles away???:rant2::rant2:

How do such clueless people end up with so much freakin' money? :rant2::rant2:

There are so many people who would pay more for that Z06 and actually drive it, or maybe use it in autocross races!

My uncle had a '67 Vette, bought it when he was about 25, in '75. He had a '00 C5 convertible, and he just sold that for a C6 Convertible.

Dosnt she understand that NOT driving a car is bad for the vehicle? A car needs to be driven every once in a while, get those fluids moving, get the oil circulating in the engine.

I'm not sure. She's obviously not the biggest car enthusiast out there, otherwise she'd be driving the cars, having fun with them. From what I've heard, she's just spending her ex-husband's money on things to make him jealous.
