Has anyone here done or figured out a way to make our Cadillac grill emblem appear to float as it does on the XLR? Click pic for larger view.

I currently have the standard factory louvered grill that is color-matched to my CTS which was recently painted; I should have attempted to do this project before painting the grill.

I like it as well. The emblem is attached by a flexible piece from behind, that mounts to the grill above the emblem in a way thats not visible from the front. Looks like you would have to cut a hole in our existing grill, trim ring it to look finished, then mount it in the same way as on the XLR. Who wants to tangle this one :eek: ?

It'll be tough, but best done if you get ahold of an XLR grill and mutilate it by removing the emblem with a jig-saw and retrofitting it to the CTS.
