did you ever get your nav working corectly? I put mine in a few months ago and just enjoyed the other features. Then yesterday I finally put in the gps antenna and im having the same issues. Shows im in LA and pointer just spins to mock my turns. Ive left the car on, drove around and it never finds me. also dont know about the VSS wire cause miscreants instructions said pin 7 of brown radio2 connector but mine is black molded together radio2 and radio3 connectors. like you experienced one of the connectors had an occupied slot so I used the other. At the instrument cluster all I saw for brown was a tan and a greyish brown, but more grey so I used the tan.

Ok, well I got the gps antenna to find satallites but it only sees them .09% of the time. And I fixed my vss wire, but I think the frequency of the vss was cut in half between 03 and 05 because my arrow icon travels down roads twice as fast as my car actually is. So when im halfway down a road its telling me to turn in 200 feet then im driving through houses on screen while im actually finishing up the 2nd half of the road in the car, then it recalculates the route, then the gps antenna will get signal and it puts me back where i actually am... for a second... so it recalculates route again..... until my icon is way ahead of me again then the cycle just starts over. I hope there is a way to correct that!!
I dont know why the gps antenna gets crappy reception its in the dash under the defroster panel in front of the steering wheel so its away from the center channel speaker.

you should try going to an intersection, with no other cars around, put it in park and manually setting your location for a more specific point. If that doesnt work, try moving the ant. does it have a good view of the sky? if its hidden it wont operate as well....I have mine where the center channel is, cuz I dont have one.......try the manual location.......mine will get lost in Chicago because of all the big buildings it loses the signal.........

Flip & Catman,
I just got a new brown wire & connector from Ody. Just received my new antenna. Catman if you look at the connector it has pin numbers embossed on it on the front side. There is a brown wire in the cable harness behind the Guage cluster.
Flip, my antenna has two mounting tabs on it. Do you know the location the factory uses? With the center speaker the space is really a premium under that top dash panel.

Im tapped into the brown behind the cluster, but the icon is moving at twice the speed of the car which leads me to believe they changed the frequency output of the vehicle speed sensor between 03 and 05

Did you try manually adjusting your location? Others with the mixed years have done this and it has still worked...People have put it in 06's so nothing has changed that would cause this.....

Yes I manually changed vehicle location and it puts me back in the right spot when the gps locks in. it seems to be getting better the longer I drive it, I dont know maybe when it initially starts it has to comapre gps data and vss data and learn a common curve between the 2 inputs?

If you drive really fast can you catch up with your cursor?:D j/k

Flip is right. members have installed different year navs in their cars with no problem.
