I have a 2000 Catera that has continuing charging problems. I have read here that the problem in some cases has been the cable running between the alternator and the battery. How difficult is it to replace this cable? If anyone can provide the procedures and perhaps a location where I can find the replacement cable I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

I don't know what causes your problems, but I think this (http://www.south-n-auto.com/positivecable.pdf) is what you were asking for. ;)

Thanks a lot. Yes this is exactly what I was looking for. In early threads on this board Catera owners with charging problems changed multiple batteries (as I have) and multiple alternators (the dealer says that is my problem) but one guy said he changed the battery cable and it fixed his problem. With the new alternator costing $1100 I thought I'd try changing the cable first. Thanks again for your help.
