RobertCTS 07-20-06, 06:17 AM I paid $40. Most Service Dept. charge about $80/hr. It take less than 15 minutes. $140 was way out of line. CTS V6 3.6 07-20-06, 06:49 AM did they atleast talk dirty to you, before the bent you over and fcuked you in the a$$? RobertCTS 07-20-06, 07:08 AM I'm sure he feels bad enough now. If you are happy then who cares? DOes it work as you want it to? I never mind paying the dealer if they do what I want. jteolis 07-20-06, 07:57 AM I paid $40. Most Service Dept. charge about $80/hr. AND HOW is your nav unit working Wobert? odysseus 07-20-06, 09:32 AM It sounds like a lot of money, but if you're happy with having the Nav working, it doesn't matter . . . water under the bridge so to speak. It's hard to get a quote from someone for this, and if you only have one dealer in your area, you're stuck, although any GM dealer can do it, not just the Cadillac dealer. It does only take about 10 minutes with a Tech2, and most of that is to hook it up and put it away. The actual 'unlocking' takes about 60 seconds to navigate a few menus and hit one that clears the VIN. They may have done more than that for $140. I know downloading and installing updated engine calibrations via a Tech2 takes about 45 minutes. They may have done it all, while it was hooked up.
