2007 escalade 4500 miles one month old car was makeing a noise from the motor from day one took back to dealer two times and they said nothing was wrong so i took it to another dealer they have had it for two weeks and said the motor was bad and needs to be replaced they said that cadillac said this is the first one that has gone bad hard to believe that has anyone had the same problem thanks for the help

I haven't heard of anything like that happening before. I'm sorry that this is the way we are welcoming you to the forum due to a problem like this. Where in Florida are you located? I am just wondering because I am in South Florida and I want to know which dealers you went to. Good luck with everything and at least you get a brand new engine.

I think you should look for a lemon law lawyer, they have had your truck in the shop long enough for a full refund from cadillac... good luck

Soory to hear this, Where did you take it now. I usually use Dimmit in Clearwater, they have always been helpful.

lower rod bearing Got the car back to day 21/2 weeks later seems to be better but the dealer ship said they put a test motor in the car not a new one and i don't know what that means or how many miles are on the motor.I was reading the repair bill and they installed a new exhaust pipe said it was hitting the frame Sound like cadillac has some r/d still to do on this suv:crybaby:

I would not say that, they build so many of these a few will have problems, I have two customers that have blown their 06' Z06 engines, and I know one of the people real well, he is in his 60's and he did not blow his engine from beating his car, I know this because he drives very slowly. :) The 6.2 is not much different that the 6.0 lower end.

I agree, if the company or dealer can't deliver a perfect new car and then they replace the engine with some "test" engine, forget that. Tell them you want your money back.

I never heard of a test engine, they should have sent a new engine. :confused: :confused:

You are well within yor rights to ask for a new vehicle.

I have gotten a new vehicle twice before due to engine problems on a new one.

I got a brand new Yukon Denali XL due to a faulty engine 2k in and I am sure I am not the pioneer on this.
