I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that the transmission in the car is toast (although I haven’t had it professionally diagnosed) and have decided to try to sell it the way it is first before spending any more money on it. The transmission only has 1st and 3rd gear and reverse. The car is medium blue with a blue cloth(not vinyl) top and blue leather interior. It has 180,000 miles on it but still looks quite good inside and out. The price is $2,500 firm. A dealer friend said it would bring that much or more at a dealer auction in an as is lane. If I don’t get that price I’ll find a used transmission at a junkyard. A local u-pull-it sells them for $75. Car is located in the Washington DC area but I can deliver at a reasonable cost. Will have pictures in a few days.
