Anyone interested in meeting in the chicago/suburbs area? I'm thinking of trying to set something up in the spring, maybe invade a local car show with a bunch of caddys and blow some minds :coolgleam any takers?

02-07-04, 10:40 AM
Id drive up there!!!

02-08-04, 09:01 AM
I would be interested as well. :bouncy:

02-08-04, 10:00 AM
So would I!!

02-08-04, 02:51 PM
NICE! Where's everyone coming from, this way I can get an idea what area'd be best. I'm thinking N/W suburbs, any better ideas? :2thumbs: Can't wait to see peoples faces when the caddys come rollin in, LOL!

02-10-04, 08:01 AM
West side subs would be best for me and N/W would be fine.

02-10-04, 09:56 AM
What would be cool for me would be to meet at some sort of an event like a cruise in or a motorsport event.

02-10-04, 04:51 PM
I'm not really into that scene too much, but I like the idea. I usually just go to shows, so I don't know anything about it. :hide: I think that'd be really cool though, does anyone know more about em?

PS What are you all driving?
I've got a 92 DeVille 4.9L
19 lb/hr Accel performace injectors
High flow open element air cleaner
160 thermostat
Camero-style exhaust (Walker SoundFX)
Ground down plugs
16x7 Borbet 6-spoke rims with 225/60-16 tires

02-10-04, 04:56 PM
94 Q45... I would be the oddball...

There would be some good stuff in Northern Indiana.....

02-11-04, 01:18 AM
Im gettin a 1993 I just bought and my 04 ready for show. Ill bring em along if ya wanna do something this spring. We should invade Strats in Addison.

Wes, so what if its a Q45, you are still ridin in style.

02-11-04, 07:21 AM
I'm driving a 93 Sedan DeVille in near perfect shape. :D

02-11-04, 03:57 PM
My Q will be in primo shape soon.. Im going to be adding some ONE OF A KIND mods here soon.......!

02-12-04, 01:55 AM
My 2004 just got hit tonight, but this golden 93 I got is still in great shape. Its almost a duplicate of my first Caddy that started this addiction.

02-22-04, 09:55 PM
I'd love to have a Chicago meet, I'm pretty new to this forum, but I'd love to meet up with some fellow caddy owners. I have an 04 Blue Chip 3.6 CTS :)

02-22-04, 09:59 PM
That would be teriffic!

I might be able to work out the legistics and drive the pristine 95 Fleetwood brougham..... Its almost like a timewarp, from 1995 to now!!!

02-22-04, 10:22 PM
We should have this meet some time soon, the weather is starting to get better!

02-23-04, 09:19 PM
Yeah, I say give it another month to make up its mind, I don't know of any that start this early in the season... So what do you guys feel like, a show or an actual driving event?

02-23-04, 09:33 PM
As a meet guy myself, I think if we have enough people it would be best to keep it simple... The relaxed kind are nearly as fund as the kind with all types of activities....

Last meet I was at we went to a park and grilled out and just chilled..... Id certainly be able to get about 5 guys on NICO that live in chicago so we dont have like 5 people...!!!

02-24-04, 06:49 AM
 NICO

02-24-04, 04:55 PM
Im down for a show or whatever. Just lemme know the event.

02-24-04, 06:03 PM
NICO= Nissan infiniti car owners... Id get a few infiniti guys that live around the area...

02-25-04, 10:42 AM
Hey Wes...? If you could give me some info on NICO I'd appreciate it. Susan's a Z fanatic and she might enjoy checking out the group.

When she lost her job at NW she had to downgrade to a 240SX...but I've driven it a couple of times and it can get out of its own way fairly well...she looks good in it as it's "Arrest Me Red". Redhead in red car? LOL

Thank you in advance sir.

02-25-04, 06:34 PM

Tell them you were sent by WES or elwesso!!!

Hello All...

I am a new member here and live in the Chicago area. Just north of the city. I just bought a 98 STS (black on black) and I am ironing out a few issues here and there but overall, the car kicks butt. I would also be interested in a get-together. Location is unimportant.

Count me in.

Dik 98STS

I had to remove the "c" from my name as the software for this forum obviously finds my name objectionable and has given me the "weanie" moniker.

How embarassing!!!

04-07-04, 12:06 AM
NW burbs...I would be there to LOOK!!:want: Can't get enough :banghead:

Sounds great!!

05-01-04, 09:35 PM
Time to resurret this thread... Weather's starting to get nice, when do we invade a show? :tease:

05-02-04, 09:43 PM
I think we shoudl wait until the first week of June... I want to come but im gonna have finals the end of this week!

05-03-04, 08:48 AM
I'd be ALL up for it! I missed a Dodge/Chrysler LH-car meet thanks to school last month. But I'd love to head up for this one. And Wes, you wouldnt be the oddball. Well, you'd still be an oddball but at least you wouldnt be the lone Q. :D

05-03-04, 09:25 AM
This is not strictly a "Chicago" event, but the red haired one and I are going to the Milwaukee Mile "Fan Day" on May 8th from 9am to 1pm. Buy tickets during the fan day and you can drive your personal car on the oval!!!

05-03-04, 04:52 PM
Milwaukee is a bit far for me, as it takes about 5 hours for me to get there, 3 hours is about my max, otherwise i gotta stay overnight......

05-03-04, 05:44 PM
We all have our personal mileage limits Wes. Just thought I'd mention a buddy of mine and his wife are coming in from Detroit.

I have no idea what else is going on for the Fan Fest but the milwaukee mile is a good place to see an automobile race- being on the fairgrounds assures good choices for food, and being Milwaukee, the beer is plentiful and cold.

05-04-04, 06:15 PM
Maybe we should consider doing something east of chicago, mainly so we dont have to mess with the city... Somethign I dont particularlly want to deal with......

05-05-04, 05:17 AM
meet sounds good to me, im down any time now

05-05-04, 03:44 PM
Ill Come Through Too, Tell Me When & Where

Reside In Chicago, Not Any :farting: Suburb

05-06-04, 11:24 AM
East of Chicago? In the Lake??? ;)

05-07-04, 10:42 PM

I wont really be able to do much until the end of school... 19 days and counting, and about 30 days worth of work due in that amount of time!

05-22-04, 12:09 PM
a chicago meet would be awesome, i only live about 2hrs south of chicago. Now if i could only get that damned 76 Fleetwood Brougham :want:

05-23-04, 01:54 PM
I would also be interested in a Chicago Meet.:bouncy:

I Am coming from North of Chicago, by the state line, so NW would be cool, even SW could work. Trying to get by that Il/In interchange is a hassle.

It all depends on how many are coming from where. Gotta be fair I guess.

If this thing is still on, I am interested.

The 98 ETC is always ready for a ride
I am open to whatever ideas may be dreamed up, Car show, Luncheon, or just a nice sit down in a park, don't need much of a reason to look at some nice "OLDER" respectable Cadillacs. And it would give me an excuse to take Mine for a nice drive:D

07-03-04, 05:55 PM

Chicagoland-area-ish meet?! Any plans?... anybody? *looks around* :suspense:

Madcat SS
07-06-04, 04:20 PM
A meet and greet or car show invasion would be cool. I live on the NW side and know my '00 Catera wouldn't mind a little showin'. Just need to get a little body work done and bam! i'm ready. So what's the story, anybody still interested?

MAD :hmm:

07-07-04, 05:33 PM
I vote for the N/W suburbs! I still like the idea of a whole bunch of caddies showing up at a normal show out of nowhere! :bighead: I know of a few smaller shows around here, but bigger is usually better. Any bright ideas?

07-07-04, 11:30 PM
In the past meets that you meet up and goto a park and have a cookout have always worked out nicely.....

07-20-04, 12:31 AM
I like that idea wesso, anyone else?

07-20-04, 05:13 PM
Well we need someone to take charge..... Someone with a caddy!

07-20-04, 10:05 PM
Ok hows about Union Grove on one of the test and tune nights??

07-20-04, 11:09 PM
Never been there yet :canttalk: yeah, I don't know how that happened... But it sounds like a GREAT idea, I wanna know what I'm runnin....

Whats the schedule there?

07-23-04, 11:33 AM
Iím up for Union Grove... NW Burbs... anywhere... just let me know....

I would take the reigns on this, but my schedule and workload has been a tad bit crazy lately...

Car Club gathering at Volo Car Museum Sept 19, 2004. Everything is invited. The B.a.D Bodies club is hosting. So you Broughman owners will fit in also. My B-Body (92 Olds Custom Cruiser wagon) is down, but planning on being there with the 92 Coupe DeVille.
