I purchased the MOST grossly impractical item at Walmart this evening. I stopped there to pick up a pork chop for supper and saw something that I "needed to have":bigroll: . A 52 oz mug called the "Bubba Keg", this thing won't fit in the cupholder of a Hummer! I got to thinking, what is this world coming to when we have mugs that can hold 52 oz of beer, coffee, pop etc? I mean the size of this thing even makes me laugh, it's ridiculous:alchi: !

I can't wait until I get to the office tomorrow and see the looks I get sipping my coffee from it:thumbsup: . Anyone else have one of these stupid "kegs"?

What is the world coming to...

I don't know how it keeps the ice so.......icey? I put 3 (yes 3) cans of Mt. Dew in it with ice and it's STILL cold (and this is in the 110F Arizona heat).

Even though it's impractical, I like it:).

I saw Bubba Kegs at Target before. They have 3 or 4 different sizes. I don't know why, but the seeing the name "Bubba Keg" and it's ginormous size had me and one of my friends crying from laughter.

I got something like that at the ABQ balloon fiesta a couple years ago, its an insulated mug with a 64oz capacity. It came filled with hot chocolate for like $8. A great investment.

My dad just picked up two of those and while I thought they were impratical, they do keep ice ice. Handy to have around while detailing my truck, so I don't have to go inside for a drink.

It's really just a question of one's demographic.

It's sort of a "sippy cup" for big boys.

I would bet the farm that these things are made in China like everything else WalMart sells.

This needs to be submitted to those folks making the "Man Law" beer commercials..... ;)

Did anyone notice the subtle humor of the one about the waiter who carries the bottles by sticking their finger in them. One of the last members of that "man law" panel shown was the one dressed as a cowboy saying "you poke it you own it"

CONCLUSION
People who say "Pop" are much, much cooler.

I love non-scientific surveys:D! It's right on the money too, I'm from Iowa and EVERYONE there says "Pop", what the hell is soda?

Down in Arizona, I find most people say "Pop" and only a few say soda.

Hey now....Here in Cincinnati it is pop. We think it's funny when people around here call it soda. Just goes to show you, sometimes it's not what the person says that is funny, but where the person is at.....

That's nowhere near as bad as what people call a "sub". It's either a sub, grinder, hoagie, or whatever! I tell people my grinder is in the garage!

This is insane. I was just at my local Home Depot and they have the Buba Keg in 72 oz and 128 oz sizes. For what?

And I just found these pics along with a 3 gallon size

3 Bubba Kegs (http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=content&target=products/outdoors/camping/coolers)72oz, 128oz and 3 gallon
