Why does everything need to be divided up so much?
| View Full Version : Too many forums riccorizzo 03-28-03, 08:08 PM Why does everything need to be divided up so much? kcnewell 03-28-03, 08:14 PM Why shouldn't it be? Oh yeah! I know! Clickin' that mouse is sooo hard! LOL!! elwesso 03-28-03, 08:24 PM it makes it easier to find the stuff you are looking for. if you are that lazy that you cant click on those extra buttons, then get off the internet. Whoa, simmer down boys, simmer down.:p BeelzeBob 03-28-03, 09:12 PM Actually, it does help sort things out. On message boards where there is only one area, it's hard to find exactly what you're looking for. If you could give me an example of how less forums would be more helpful, I'd be glad to consider discussing a change with the team... But generally, this is how forums are done.. Maybe you could point me in the direction of some successful forums that don't have many areas. A good example would be helpful. Mad'lac 03-29-03, 04:49 PM Someone please remove the rice from Wes. :P riccorizzo 03-29-03, 05:46 PM Originally posted by elwesso it makes it easier to find the stuff you are looking for. if you are that lazy that you cant click on those extra buttons, then get off the internet. the topic asked for my opinion .. i offered it and got bombarded with jerk responses.. you can keep your empty forums.. im outta here.. i thought the mustang guys were bad but this is incredible.. i guess the sillier a car one has to modify the more defensive the forum users get over nothing... i think so many of these boards are overly divided to make more moderator positions.. does suspension really need its own board? does every make and model really need its own section? YES! kcnewell 03-29-03, 06:36 PM Originally posted by elwesso it makes it easier to find the stuff you are looking for. if you are that lazy that you cant click on those extra buttons, then get off the internet. Wes! You've gotta start eatin' somethin' besides rice....It's makin' you cranky.:D Mad'lac 03-29-03, 06:37 PM Ok some people can be a bit sensitive but he was right about that crude response somebody(no names) gave. But oh well!! We be happy with the folks we got. elwesso 03-29-03, 07:11 PM mmmmmm rice! It was crude, and probably shouldnt have said it to a new guy, but i mean come on!! Why wouldnt you want it divided! It would be like having a parts shop and instead of having them organized, they would just be thrown in the back! kcnewell 03-29-03, 07:57 PM OH! You've been to my shop!LOL!! Mad'lac 03-29-03, 09:59 PM You obviously haven't been to the back of a real parts shop have you Wes? KC knows the truth.......it may look like a mess to you Wes but the owner knows exactly where everything is. BeelzeBob 03-29-03, 10:10 PM The reason we have individual forums is for ease of use. If Joe Smith comes here to find out how to fix a part on his '99 STS, he knows exactly where to go. If he comes here to look for help rebuilding his 77 Fleetwood pushrod engine, he knows exactly where to go. I don't see any good reason for Catera or XLR owners to scrubble through 10,000 STS and ETC threads to find what they're looking for... Case (and topic) closed. | |
