I need to know what I am looking for, with regards to the turn signal and emergency lights boxes underneath the dash. It seems that mine have gone, one or the other, and I have no clue as to what they look like. My car has also been rewired by the previous owner, at least thats the best that I can conclude: for whatever reason the brake lights were wired into the radio controller, the Bose unit up-front I mean. I don't know if that will have anything to do with my turn signals not working. Any pictures or descriptions would be helpful. I've done some research and know kind of where to look, but don't know what to look for.
I have a 1993 Eldorado

Do you mean the flasher units? If so, the cylindrical one on the passenger side of the steering wheel shaft is for the flashers, and the box-shaped one on the drivers side of the steering wheel shaft is for the turn signals. If you weigh more than 180 lbs. the easiest way to work under the dash is to remove first the panel that screw in (2 screws) under the dash, then the panel that clips (directly under steering wheel), and then the metal plate that has four bolts (exposed after removing the panel that clips).
Once you do that, turn on your signals (or flashers), listen for the clicking, and then feel the different components. The ones operating will be identifiable by the vibration they emit due to their operation (clicking).
