Just wondering for anyone that has them or has been in a car with them or whatever.. i read that most kits open about 30 degrees or something like that and if i have it figured out right than that is about how far i normally have the door open to get in so basically it looks like they would work normal and then flip up for when i wanna show them off... and from most site videos it looks like you an flip it up with like 2 fingers opposed to some guy at a side shop that told me that i would not want it for an everyday car taht they aare extremely heave..
just wondering for anyone that has them or been near/in a car that has them how ahrd it was getting in and out, lifting the door and such..
also i was wondering if it is possible to rip the door off or break something cuz i would be nervous at the beginning that i would go to open the door and like rip it all the way open or something.. thanks for any help
Also does anyone know what it usually costs for a lambo kit.. i would think it would be average like 2g's but if anyone has it done nad knows a price that would be great.. thanks

i knew a guy that had lambo's on a civic
they actually were kinda heavy.....and it took practice to get in and out with it. a passenger WILL tear up the door if they don't know what they are doing.....bascially, he had to open and close the door for all his passengers.
so....i wouldn't recommend it for a daily driver.

I Have Lambo Doors On My 2004 Ext. The Doors Open Till The First Stop Which Allow You To Get In And Out Without Any Problems. From The First Stop You Can Raise Them Up For Style. The Doors Look Really Sharp But I Do Regret Getting Them. After A While The Shcok Goes Bad And Need Re Adjusting. Not Worth The Hassle. Too Many Headaches. I Got Quotes From 3500- 2500 For Vertical Door Kits. Id Think It Over Twice.

Overkill. I would hate to have to open it vertically everytime I jump out. Convienent in a tight parking spot, but other than that, it would be a lot of headaches like zacatecano82 said.
if its a show car go for it, but just like everyone else said, not worth the hassle if daily driver...

Ive done quite a few lambo door kits on cars and trucks. I personally think its a fad that has already died. I have posted on this topic before, so to get the most info just do a search. I even posted some pics of a gt factory kit I did a while back. If you are really serious about it, try to find cars that have the various kits on them and compare the difference. Dont expect to pay 1500 for the kit installed. For the job to be done right on these trucks, the entire front clip needs to be removed. This includes the Hood, fenders, bumper, lights etc. Its time consuming and you cant rush it. The so called Bolt on kits arent bolt on. They require cutting off the factory hinges, and then drilling and tapping holes in the bracket that is left from the factory hinge. The shock placement of these types of hinges requires them to be extremely stiff and if they leak they loose the pressure needed to lift the door. The hinges are also thin and flimsy so they flex alot and will require adjustments if alloed top slam down or swing up too fast. The GT factory kit is alot beefier but does require alot of fabrication to install. The end product is much much nicer. It is very stable and precise so once installed should not go out of adjustment unless something structurally bends. The shocks used are lower pressure, and uses 2 per door, so even with one the door still works. The installer decides where to mount the hinge and what cutting is required so the end result can be a door that opens outward much more than the bolt on, and even opens much higher than the bolt ons. I have personally done cars that lift a full 90degress and open outward so any size person can get in and out without any sort of inconvenience. What I am trying to explain really doesnt do the difference between the 2 kits any justice. You really need to see the differences with your own eyes to appreciate it. Again, I dont think it is worth it to do anymore the fad is over, but if you want to do it, spend the extra money and get it done the right way so that you dont regret it.

I had once thought about installing these doors on my ride but changed my mind since every one has them now.
