You mean you have them there? you are sooo lucky! I had to bring one in from Cali just to have one that runs. I've only seen three since I moved to TN. there was none in MI.

On July 1st, I have to work 1-9:30PM..... so Aimee surprised me with a......surprise b-day party on yesterday, on Friday..... ah gosh I was shocked, it was awesome.

4AM now.... I'll be going to sleep soon, won't wake up until I gotta go into work.... fun fun :).

So, at work today everyone chipped in and got me a little chocolate cake.... it was cool...

Then on my dinner break on my way to Panda Express a couple miles down the road.... I get pulled over....

I was going to get 3 tickets... but the cop said the only reason he didn't give me them is because it's my birthday....

lets see.... first up, I got a smoked license plate cover from Advance... 2 actually, and put them on the front and rear plates.... I had a feeling it would stir the cops around, but did it anyway... well, aparently anything but a clear cover is illegal in FL...... so I was gonna get a ticket for that. The cop sat in his car and watched me until I removed the cover from the plate.

Also, it seems that if you reside in the state of FL for more then 10 days, you need to have a FL drivers license AND FL tags on the car....

so ticket #2 was going to be the Caddy having my NYS tags, which are all current and everything.

ticket #3 was going to be me having a NYS drivers license and living in FL.

I explained that I am only going to school here and my home is still in NY, he said it dosn't matter, that I live here, go to school here and work here, and that I need to get FL tags and license.... for tax purpose etc..... I questioned that....alot... but it got nowhere.... and it still seems strange, tho he listed the number of the law or whatever it was.

So, I got a written warning... if I get pulled over by that dept. again (small town cops... heard they are some of the worst here) then I'll get a ticket for that.

So.... I guess I have to get a FL state drivers license and tags.... I like my NY tags and my NY license.... this sucks.... otherwise I risk getting pulled over again by them and getting a ticket.... I'm sure they'll keep an eye out for the Coupe.

There were 2 cops in the middle lane, I was in the right lane... the one in the back is the one that jumped lanes and pulled me over..... I know it was that tag over that drew the attention... thats why I was hesistant about putting that on... I don't like stuff that draws extra attention of the cops... but damn the car looked so good... it blended perfectly with the color of the car and stuff.

So in 8 months, getting pulled over a few times, getting an improper U-turn citation, and getting into an accident with my '79 DeVille.... no cop ever said a thing about the NYS tags or license... then today he decides to say something.... probably just looking for things to write citations for.

I was in my work cloths as I was going to get some food, I dunno if that made a difference.... like showed that I live here or something.... I dunno....

Ah well.... it worked out in the end... but I really want to keep my NYS stuff...

If it wasn't for Aimee, I would say this state sucks pretty bad.
