Most cops are not that stupid. But many do take advantage of a situation if you give in. turbojimmy 06-28-06, 02:37 PM How about not driving around with drugs? Works for me.
I've consented to searches before. One time a cop claimed he smelled marijuana. I was driving a Mustang GT convertible - with the top down. He went through my stuff, didn't find anything and let me go. My lawyer says never to consent to a search.
Jim OffThaHorseCEO 06-28-06, 03:54 PM some cops....
i never let anyone smoke cigarettes in my car, let alone weed or anything else, i even tell em empty your pockets before you get in my car. i kno that some people will do some dirty things, like take the drugs out of their pockets and "hide" it in your car.
ive been told if you have the drugs on your person, you get in trouble, if the drugs are hidden in the car, you get in trouble plus the car gets impounded "maintaining a motor vehicle something or other"
so anyways, i got pulled once and the cop wanted to search the car.
i agreed and he searched for over 30 minutes, another cop pulled up and was like, whys he searching so hard, he must be convinced you have something. he helped searched for a lil bit, they swore up and down they smelled weed coming from somewhere in the car, so eventually the second cop quit, but the first guy went on to search under the hood, even pulling out the air filter and checking in there, the second cop eventually got annoyed and said "damn if he was gonna search this long he shoulda just called the damn dog in"
anyways he never found anything, felt like an ass and sent me on my way anyways he never found anything, felt like an ass and sent me on my way
Yeah, and the longer he searched, the ruder he probably got because he knew he looked like an ass. That's the problem with the bad cops, they think they're infallible. They hate being shown up.
But I've known far more good cops than bad ones.
I like TurboJimmy's suggestion. I was going to make it earlier but I figured that kinda defeated the purpose of the thread. Well I know far more bad cops as compared to 3 good ones and their not good because they let me get away with anything:thehand: . They were very professional without the added bullsh_t most officers give you just because they can.:rant2: Benzilla 06-29-06, 01:33 AM Thats a great video, very helpful for me being that I'm in TN where southern cops will screw you over any chance they get. I had forgotten some of the stuff that they mentioned, glad you found it. :) LittleB 06-29-06, 01:12 PM That last one about the party was helpful. I was in the same situation once and I obviously did all of the wrong things. I wish I would've seen this sooner! Good info  derrty_deville 06-29-06, 01:31 PM Its better to have somone sober or 21+ that lives there answer the door too. One time we must have had 30 people in a pretty small house with 10-15 cars outside but they couldnt do anything about it. Its just a good idea not to be letting drugs in your own house if you're not a part of it. LittleB 06-29-06, 02:02 PM Its better to have somone sober or 21+ that lives there answer the door too. Definitely a good idea. There might have been a few people that were over 21 but they hopped the fence LOL....also the cops were asking for who lived there and so I stepped up.
It's actually a pretty stupid/funny story and a lesson well learned. Also a reminder to never party with youngsters. Most of my friends are older than me but I happened to be hanging out with a friend from High School that day, and we decided to throw a huge party, one of those "everyone is invited" parties and I let her be in charge of calling people (by the way, don't ever do that) and duh everyone and their mama showed up and of course they were all young because they were her friends. They don't know how to be descrete and keep it under control. Before I knew it the house and backyard were packed. I was drunk, which impared my judgement, obviously and I'm just like heyyyyy the more the merrier!!! So everyone is having a great time...except this one guy that invited this like 15 year old pill popping whore over, and I had to tell her off because she was giving this dude a lapdance and it was just all bad. Anyway, so someone says "THE COPS JUST DROVE BY!!" and everyone started FREAKING out. Ever been with a whole bunch of drunk/high people and someone says that? Everyone was SO paranoid, it was hilarious. They scattered like cockroaches! So the cops park and everyone runs to the backyard, some people hopped fences, some people ran out the back and got into their cars, and other people hid in my backyard like idiots. Hell I even went into my own backyard with everyone else acting like I didn't live there, praying that they'd just leave! They entered the house which was completely evacuated at that point except for the pill poppin' whore who passed out on my bed (EW! I couldn't believe it) and so the cops immediatley called for an ambulance. So here we are, a few of us left in the backyard, I finally decided to go into my house since the cops were in there. I sobered up REAL quick. Before I knew it there was a fire truck, 2 ambulances, and 2 cops cars all in front of my house. I almost had a heart attack. He then asked me who the passed out girl was, and sadly, I didn't know. He asked me what she was drinking and I told him I didn't know but I did hear that she is a pill popper and so I figured it was a combo of some pills and drinks. So she was clueless as to what was going on, they tried talking to her but she was wayyyyy out of it so they took her to the hospital. Anyway then the cops started questioning me, and as they were doing that their backs were to my driveway, so I am answering them while watching people sneak past them. They asked how old I was, and what we were drinking, and how old the people at the party were. I asked if there was their a noise complaint, and he goes no, actually we were driving down that side street when we saw a whole bunch of kids out in the street so we decided to cruise by, that's when we saw people out front with open bottles etc. so we decided to check it out. I asked them so many times to STAY IN THE BACK or IN THE HOUSE....idiots. The one cop was real nice and just told me what could've happened and how I would've been responsible etc. Another cop was not as nice but luckily he did less talking. Anyway they just told me to be more careful and said that if anyone is left in the house that I should let them stay the night so that they don't drink and drive. It turned out real well, I was SO scared at first. I sure did learn my lesson and I would never EVER do that again. I got a alot of calls the next day asking what happened. Wow that was long. turbojimmy 06-29-06, 03:39 PM I asked them so many times to STAY IN THE BACK or IN THE HOUSE....idiots.
I hosted a similar party at my parent's house one time when they were on vacation but I wouldn't allow anyone IN the house. It was my freshman year in college so lots of friends were home on summer break. My sister was still in high school (a senior) so there were lots of her friends, too. We had lots of kegs and I figure 150 people. It got out of hand. By the time the cops showed up cars lined both sides of the street as far as you could see creating a traffic hazard. There was a gang of about 10 motorcycles parked in the driveway (I had no idea who they were) and the full acre of land behind my dad's house was pretty much jammed with drunk, underage teens.
I saw people I hadn't seen in years, which was nice. I saw lots of people I had never seen in my life. There were so many people there that my friend, who drove up from Florida (1,200 miles), didn't even know his psycho girlfriend had tailed him to the party until it was over.
I was actually kind of relieved when the cops showed up, but not so relieved to run into one INSIDE my house when I went to take a leak. I don't know who let them in, but they were everywhere. They said they were looking for "Ralph", who lived there (my name's not Ralph - someone was messing with him). I was too drunk to deal with the cops so I told him I didn't know who lived there. Eventually they found my sister who, given the fact that she has certain feminine qualities, was able to convince the police that she would make everyone leave and we'd clean up the neighborhood (it was messy). No one got arrested, the cops waited until the street cleared.
People were talking about it for months. The neighbors ratted me out to my 'rents. Evidently people did get into the house because I was missing a bunch of CDs and the VCR (both hot items back in the late-80s). We had to call Roto-Rooter the next day, too. The plumbing really has never been the same. I don't know what's down there but it's still f'ing things up to this day.

Yeah I saw people I hadn't seen in a long time too!
I was actually kind of relieved when the cops showed up...
That reminds me! I was actually relieved too when the cops came. Scared at first but relieved once I started talking to them! I even told them that, I think that is part of the reason they went easy on me. I told them it got out of control quick, and that I was kind of glad they came. turbojimmy 06-29-06, 09:15 PM That reminds me! I was actually relieved too when the cops came. I was relieved because there was only a couple of ways for the party to end: I'd pass out and the house would be picked clean or I'd pass out and the house would get burned to the ground. With the amount of alchohol I had consumed remaining conscious was not an option. Yelling "COPS!!" and there actually being cops there is the only way to end the party while saving face. It's like yelling "FIRE!" in a crowded movie theater.
