Hey everyone,
Today I went and looked at a '91 Brougham in probably the nicest kept condition ever. The car has exactly 3022 miles. It has never seen rain and has always sat inside. The car is completely original including original tires, all documentation, everything. It has the d' Elegance package, gold emblems, tow package. No cd player, leather or moonroof. Has the 5.0L. Any ideas on how much this '91 is realisically worth? Anyone know of any similar low mile examples that have actually sold?

Sounds like a nice car. The only problem with low milage cars like that is that they look good but they are always unreliable if you start using them all the time. If it doesn't have the 5.7L engine it can't have the tow package. it doesn't come with the 5L engine. There was one on ebay a little while ago with 3076 miles that sold for $17,777.

Thanks brougham, that is some good info. You wouldn't happen to have a link to that one that sold for $17,777?

I'd loooooooooooooooooooooove to find a mint '90-92 Brougham with the 5.7 and the D'elegance. Finding one nice enough might make me throw all logic and caution to the wind and buy it!

You're welcome. I'll see if i saved the link. I printed it out and it cut off the side of the page with the item number on it. I don't think it would be too easy to sell it for that price because only people reallllyy interested in one would want to pay that much. It's hard to find 5.7L and D'Elegance together. They almost all seem to be either a 5.7Litre normal Brougham or a 5L D'Elegance.

Isn't that the truth!

Here is the link to the $17777 Brougham - still on the sellers home page...

Check out the rest of his cars - including a 500 CID 80 Fleetwood.

He has another nice Fleetwood on ebay now - a real beauty...

Well I guess I'd take the 5L D'elegance. It's much easier to change a motor than it is to change an entire interior.

That's not the $17,777 brougham. The one I was talking about is white and is a 1991. I forget how much that red one was but it looks like a nice car. It might say in the other post about it.

It's not just the engine that's different. Read the page that Broughamadrosis posted. It's also a lot easier to change an interior then it is to change the engine. Look at everything that Destroyer went through.

Now only if it had astroroof and wire wheels.. then I would consider it.

Oh god that's kickass! Definetly a car I'd buy sometime! I love that color combo, but I'd throw on the optional wire wheel covers though. I hate those covers.

:D you have a perfectly good trade in sitting in your driveway of you ever wanna go old school.

I thought you wanted a '78 Biarritz anyway?

Not really no. Even after I get the front end fixed up, it's still worth like $1200 on trade in. Maybe like $3000 private party, and that's a big maybe.

That's my #1 choice. The Brougham would pull daily driver duty if I ever got one. I wouldn't wanna make the '78 Biarritz a DD because it's too cool, and the fact it gets like 12MPG and it doesn't have as many modern amenities like a '92 Brougham does.

Look at everything that Destroyer went through.Ehh, it was pretty straight forward, only real probs were getting the TBI to work on the L98 350. Swapping interiors would definately have been a much easier proposition in any case.
