I was wondering where I can get clear lights for my '89 Deville. Not my front head lights but the fog lights?? they are located under the normal head lights, in the bumper... I believe they are called, their yellow and not very good looking.

Check the rice shops they have all sorts of fog lights. you should be able to find one very similiar to the set you have now.

Are you referring to the parking light/turn signal lights that are in the bumper of the late 80's early 90's Devilles?

The solution might be Osram Sylvania's Silverstar parking/signal lamps that complement their Silverstar low/high beam headlamps. From what I understand they are a white/blue until they are lit and then they magically turn "legal" amber! The part number for your car is 2057AST

It would be cool if someone with experience with these lamps would post some comments, please?

Thanks. Do they have a website?

Where would I find an actual clear lamp? or does the silverstar light make it clear when the engine is off?

You mean the parking light? When it's on it has to be yellow if you want it to be legal.

It sounds like the bulb ChiMick is talking about is clear when it's off.

Here's what the SilverStar bulb looks like:

There is more info on the product here:

If I'm not mistaken, the lens cover is amber, so no bulb would make them look clear.

The '91-'93 models have clear lenses, so you could probably get them at a wrecking yard.

Andrew, The 1990 DeVilles have clear lenses also.

Yeah the lenses are clear but real dirty, where can I get new lenses from?

Being the frugal sort that I am, I'd suggest cleaning and polishing your existing lenses with Griots Garage plastic cleaner and polish.

When I get the DeVille back on the road, I want to get those lights for my turn signals.....

I have a few questions reguarding this topic though...

...I currently have the blue headlights form CustomCaddy.com and love them..... would there be any differnce between these and the Silver Stars?

Also, my parking light lens are also ywlloed and not clear anymore... I saw a few products that are supposed ot make them clear (something was called Billit or something?) what is the best product to use to make the yellowed plastic clear again?

And one last thing, my car does not have fog lights, I have though about adding after market fog lights, but don't want it to look stupid or ricey or anything.... IYO where would the best place be to mount the fog lights? ('93 Coupe DeVille)

This is a picture of the front (where would a good place to mount fog lights be?) I was thinking maybe within the grille, but that may not work well....

\Just for comparison, here is a picture of my car after i put the blue headlights in... when they are off they give the headlights a cool blue glow... more so on the high beams, still cool though...

I'm losing my memory. Only the export models had the amber lenses.

How about painting your ones amber instead then? :D

I've put clear bulbs in mine. They still look yellow-ish when they aren't actually blinking, but are white when they are. You'd never get pulled over for that, esp. with the amber still on the side markers. Just put normal clear bulbs in, it looks a lot better.
