The tail lights look like they came off an Altima. Hope the final production of the lights are more like the STS. Devil_concours 06-24-06, 10:17 AM if i'm not mistaken here, that's stitching in the dash material. WOW!!! We're getting leather covered dash? Devil_concours 06-24-06, 11:22 AM Cant see the interior?
That fron end is going to be awesome! The hood lines and creases look great!
interior looked great
Good center stack
Buttons from STS
and stitching on the dash skepticman 06-24-06, 01:25 PM Since the ImageShack bandwidth limit has been exceeded, here is the interior image as an attachment. I had to re-save the image to fit under the upload size limit here, but there should be no noticable loss in quality. Black Ops 06-24-06, 01:28 PM Actually that front has an Audi look to it!! it seems like they are stealing a lot from Nissan models . First the Maxima rear window/trunk, the Altima tail lights, and now the Altima nav location?? Devil_concours 06-24-06, 02:29 PM it seems like they are stealing a lot from Nissan models . This comes up everytime but how many cars these days seem completely different from everything else entirely?
cadillac has always had the vertical lights and that rear looks like it's a test mule SoCadillac 06-24-06, 02:44 PM This comes up everytime but how many cars these days seem completely different from everything else entirely?

Actually, both the front and rear lights are likely rigged up for the mules. SoCadillac 06-24-06, 02:45 PM Did someone save the interior shot as I've not been able to see it since the bandwidth has been exceeded? Super thanks! And jteolis, you are on the money if this is the CTS. One question...where's the NAV screen (maybe that's a lid over the top screen on the console pops up)? The mule camouflage is different as is the red/orange on the hood area. Manual shift on this one. Same driver as in the full shots. SoCadillac 06-24-06, 03:38 PM I can't help but wonder if one of these mules has V running gear and they used five lug wheels on a V mule. Wild speculation, but fun anyway. Also, mules when this get to this stage are typically laden with data logging equipment and can also include the ECU software to change ECU parameters. Devil_concours 06-24-06, 03:42 PM i'm more excited about the stitching on the dash. Devil_concours 06-24-06, 05:27 PM i will just take the test mule with sparco buckets and roll cage. I just need the tail light and headlight changed and checkers removed. :) AznPrydeRegalRyde 06-24-06, 05:39 PM Interior looks great! Can't wait to see a non-camo'd exterior shot! AznPrydeRegalRyde 06-24-06, 05:41 PM Eh...I think the car looks like crap...Ill keep mine. Interior looks great! Can't wait to see a non-camo'd exterior shot!

Yeah baby... that's what I am talking about. The interior looks so much better--no more this plastic S@#t... AznPrydeRegalRyde 06-24-06, 09:21 PM talk about a split personalityhaha, yeah, just havin' some fun ;) 2004CTS 06-24-06, 09:30 PM it seems like they are stealing a lot from Nissan models . When a new design comes out, it's always easy to state which current models it resembles because they're already out. No, Cadillac has what is clearly an awesome design that does not steal from or copy Nissan. After all, Nissan would not be a company to mimic right now as they are one of the poorer performing Japanese manufacturers in the US (sales perspective). jlbunting 06-25-06, 02:01 PM http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/4563/ctsinterieur3tn1vt.jpg
Check this out. Repost. markhamdons 06-25-06, 03:42 PM I don't think that is real stitching.
On the whole however, the interior is definitely an upgrade on current model. I can't wait until the camo comes off.
Once again, however,,, they need to hold the priceline and not go up into other territories. I just heard that GM is planning another round of heavy incentives.
They need to deliver a car with quality and appeal right from the get go. Price it competitively, and don't respond/fall into the trap of costly incentives. It undermines there position and target . the interior kinda reminds me of my 1995 Lincoln Continental. i like it though. AznPrydeRegalRyde 06-25-06, 07:21 PM I dont think anybody noticed.... but look at what appears to be a panoramic sunroof in the 3rd shot..................
those are not going to be the production taillights, they are definatly unfinished....Never noticed! I think you're right tho, dubbed!
If you look at the side shots from the worldcarfans.com photos, you'll see a panoramic roof, no doubt!
Good eye! CTS4Chiefy 06-25-06, 08:48 PM Sorry if someone else mentioned this (I'm not lookin through all 4 pages) but the headlights and taillights look like that for a reason - to conceal what it actually will look like. From what I understand from some insiders over at GMInsideNews.com, the head/tail lights seen on 60 minutes are what it will look like at production time. :-p SoCadillac 06-25-06, 08:52 PM At the rate the "spy" photographs are being let out, and by the complacent look of the mule driver's face, I'd say it won't be to long before the magazines offer a first drive article. I like the interior, it looks much more classy and to think it's a base model. No wood grain, and that looks like a DIC not a full Nav (unless it pops up)
As for the nav copying the altima nav location (and various others) there are new federation regulations in place that require navs to be placed higher up in the field of vision (so that the driver doesn't have to look away from the road as much)
I love the stiched leather as many others have noted, and so far the sixteen styling cues for Art and Science 2.0 are looking just right for the car. Can't wait to see everything out in the open. It's gorgeous!
The handles are looking like the STS' but they still have keyholes, I don't know if we're going to get keyless start and entry on this model.
That does look like a glass panel on the roof. But weather it's fixed or a sunroof is hard to tell.
I really like the flow of that center stack, it looks like it belongs rather than jutting out unexpectedly Looks like caddy is trying for an analog clock again, hahaha, lucky us.
Can't wait! I've got 3 more years to wait, ahhhh! Self Restraint lol Chuck C 06-25-06, 10:21 PM It's got my juices flowing! i can go check it out to be sure but there is still a keyhole in the sts
edit: seeing how they have the DIC control on the left side of the steering wheel, my guess is that they have dic under the gauges like sts does. I guess that middle screen area is the pop up for nav It's got my juices flowing!
Wetting your pants? :D
Man, that spy Hanjo is sticking to that mule like a fly on shit. I can imagine the nerves of that testdriver. Are they actually driving around the block on purpose? Just for gas really?
Anyway, again, I like what I see in the spy shots! The dash is indeed like the mockup version and awesome! Damnit, now I need to trade my 06 in about 1-2 years!
BTW, the BLS has an e-key...
Oh, and how many mules do they have? I see different camo every time. Or do they change it? Reminds me of the russians when they flew their new planes over the show parades during the cold war. After one round they would land and change the big red numbers on the sides and fly over again. Western spies would then have a false idea of the fleets size :) AznPrydeRegalRyde 06-26-06, 09:44 AM Wetting your pants? :D

And yeah, there are at least 2 different mules. You can tell by the roof. One mule has a normal roof, while the other has a panoramic/sunroof. Chuck C 06-26-06, 10:22 AM I am going to miss the rotating volume dial on the steering wheel! CTS4Chiefy 06-26-06, 10:07 PM I am going to miss the rotating volume dial on the steering wheel!
haha, ya, I love that so much. SoCadillac 06-27-06, 01:04 AM I'm one of the few people who actually likes the first-generation interior. It's staunch. The two absolute things that I would change, if I had only two things to change would be:
1) Glovebox...do we have a glovebox, and has anyone found it yet?
2) Shorten the windshield wiper stalk as I am always accidentally hitting the bloody thing and activating the wipers. Yeah, it makes me look like a dork and my wife gets a big kick out of it. and put a damn light in there too! By the way, I'm uncomfortable with your first comment. I won't be bending over near you anytime soon...
Don't take it too serious

From the nose only, I seen 4 different camos. But you are right about the roof.
About that rotating volume dial: to use it it is very nice, but in the winter sometimes i accidently move the dial with the sleeve of my jacket, when doing parallel parking. Sometimes it selects a very high volume... AznPrydeRegalRyde 06-27-06, 01:40 PM Don't take it too serious

Do S-class' in Europe come with solar/panoramic roofs now? My mothers E500 has it, but I don't think the S-class here has it yet Caddy Man 06-27-06, 02:32 PM Haha, yeah, I take very little sreiously :) I actually had a smiley there, or thought I did...

The new S550 has a panoramic roof option AznPrydeRegalRyde 06-27-06, 03:13 PM The new S550 has a panoramic roof optionSerious? 'Bout time! Should have been on the S-class first! Even the Opel Astra has a panoramic roof option here! They even got a twin top version!
