OMG that first shot of the grill is really Fugly!:eek: Tell me it ain't so, Joe!!

I dig it. Looks like they kept the same basic body lines of the current gen just updated the grille (headlights look to be simialr, but more angled in at the bottoms), and the tail lights look to have gotten a makeover.

Hopefully the interior will recieve some refinement. I like the current gen one but it doesn't compare to other cars in its class.

Maybe by the time the 3rd gen CTS comes out i'll be ready for a new one :D

hmm oddd, same platform and i think all the body panels will bolt to the current car.

there is a lot of camoflag and fake body cladding to keep the spy shots from meaning anything

I know RobertCTS will say I'm doing my usual naysaying, but to me, unless it has a 2door or ragtop option, I don't see that much change/improvement. Its more like a restyling rather than a redesign, in my opinion.

Is that car different or hot enough for me to get rid of my 05 LS? NOT based on what I've seen so far!

Kind of looks like the STS with more rounded off lines.

I wonder if there will be some refinements to the interior or if this will just be a small restyle?

You can make out the front end for what it will be...not bad, but the oversized grill just screams Lutz (squint your eyes and you can see Lutz's face in the grill) and his quest to harkened back the Cadillac glory days of yore. I prefer the subtly of the current grill size. The real mystery of the new exterior is the rear. The taillights are not the final design, but what else lurks under yonder trunk bar? The interior, from all the clues seen to date is better. What's under the hood in the way of engine upgrades? To me, the car's lower width has been increased? Is this to accommodate a larger drivetrain assembly for the CTS-V series so that GM can install a bigger differential, along with a larger drivetrain tunnel? Stay tuned...

Note the masking on the front ends, and front lighting, is applied a bit different. The mule in KGP Photography is different than the mule in WorldCarFans pics.

This makes me think of the BLS for now.

Now I am convinced the model in 60 minutes was the design of the new CTS, I might presume the interior they showed might also be the new interior for the new CTS. Than it is a complete improvement to the last CTS.

I agree that it looks like an Altima rear end (don't like) but do like the grill.

However, I'll reserve judgement until I see the final product up close and personal or in a series of really good finished photos.

they mention that the the BLS is going allwheeldrive and with its turbo... thats the car for me. looks good as its a cadillac (i like the srx and evo.. but its too much of a punk kids car) a nice bls would be hot. upgrade the turbo.. all wheel drive.. party on..

The 60 Minutes show had a mockup that could have been used for virtually any model and if I recall Lutz adverted to GM improving the quality of their interiors as he showed the mockup. I can't see GM going to far off track from what is current as "refinement" is the name of the game in a lineage and the CTS marks the first in what should be an award-winning lineage for Cadillac if not the cornerstone of the Cadillac automobile lineup.

You and I are probably the only two people who actually like the BLS. I bet if it were sold in America today, they would be short on stock as Audi and others have figured out that heavy feature laden vehicles of this size fetch a premium price as this is what owners want. America is just now catching on to the true meaning of "size matters" and it is not necessarily "large" as the CTS demonstrates this fact. Party on...

probably not. N* is a V8 and the only V8 in a CTS is gonna be the V series. besides out of the V6 they'll be getting as much and more hp than the N*.
