: What Are The Pros & Cons Of Aftermarket Steering Wheels?

Here's the first of a few newbie questions, I will be asking, before I decide to pluck down money on something.

I'm interested in getting an aftermarket steering wheel, such as the one seen attached here. I may just go with a custom made one with a large cadillac logo and leather covering.

I found the wheel here http://www.chassistech.com

What are the pros and cons of having an aftermarket steering wheel? The site also has horn and adapter kits like the one found here http://www.airbagit-store.com/product_list.asp?id=2321

Why would I want one? Simply, because I plan to turn the car into a show car and I just never liked the plain steering wheels that are on these particular cadillacs..........sorry Caddy purists, lol.

I think a wheel with a smaller diameter would tighten up the steering a bit. That's definetly a bonus if you have a pre '93 Brougham!

It probably won't make any difference except for how it looks. Whats so special about 1993?

Didn't they stiffen up the steering in the '93 models?

Don't know. But everything like that for 1993s is the same as 1991 and 92 is so if there is a difference they'd have it too.
