NorthStar head bolt questions

Do the head bolts need to be torqued down again after they have been installed and the engine used ?

How about if time-serts were used ?

Looking down into the bolt holes, how can one tell if an engine has time-serts ?

The head bolts don't need to be retorqued after running. There is a sealant on them and there is no easy way to retorque them. I think the retorqueing has been eliminated with newer head gaskets.

If you look at the thread holes you will see a different colored (steel) ring in the aluminum. That would be the timesert.
