I wonder if it would fit the V with some slight modification.

Do it to yours and take a lot of pictures!

More power to you if you can fit it under the hood.

By the way, this thread has nothing to do with the V!

Too much hp, IMO. A Maggied V is good enough. :D

Is there ever enough?

Maybe if the V had 600-700hp I'd be happy, been in too many high hp cars. lol

How do you say................STUPID FAST! My god, I can't even imagine that in a GTO.

If the GTO had brakes and handling...then maybe I could replace the V with that. Oh, that's right, it's made by GM :nono:

Nothing to do with a V - EXCEPT - a GTO kicked my ass at the track once (supercharged vs. supercharged).

I have to agree with Velose. In the case of my V, at least, more HP is not only ENTIRELY UNNECESSARY but probably DANGERous too.

I forget which car magazine had it. But they had all the tuner cars in another face off. Hennesy, Lingenfelter, etc. The Lingenfelter Corvette $hit out it's rear differential. And no I'm not making this up.

$hit, I just realized this was for Tubo's...not sure I want a tube top on my V, much less 2. Now, on CVP

Motor Trend. Strike Force: Target Z06, battle of the american supercars. 1000 hp LPE twin turbo 7.0L. The baddest of the bad was the 1100 hp Hennessey twin turbo viper.

It was a neat article. This isn't the whole article, but you can read the specs on each of the 5 cars.

Cool cars.

The Viper looks like it will eat yours (and my) lunch. That's a good thing.

The Gto, lowered and all, looks somewhat like previous gen Impala SS did...but...strangely enough (my ex wife will love this).

I like the Phord Mufftang the best. I'd even buy that car (but didn't read the review).

The mustang had the most problems of all the cars. I read that same article and I'm glad it was brought up on this thread. That is a great example of why more hp is not needed.

Is there a link to the actual article somewhere?

I just was after the $69K/850 hp equation (and good retro looks).

Well add the twin turbo kit and then set aside enough cash for multiple differentials because if that won't get the Area Rep to deny your warranty, nothing will......:yup:

Motortrend June 2006 "Target Z06" on the cover . . . The Lingenfelter C6 twin turbo makes 1000 HP and costs $225,860:eek:

I could not find the actual article, unfortunately. The stupid motor trend website has a search function that is worse than anything I've ever seen. The mustang was the best bang for the buck, comparing price to HP. If you have a library close, it's only like a 10 minute read.

Hell, you can get a year subscription for $3.85 @ http://www.magazinepricesearch.com/

The car had around 800 RWHP...

The price and/or time of install looks insane. It looks like so much was moved under the hood.

BUT!!! The good thing is you can control the boost, so why not have a machine capable of 700hp and then be able to dial it back when, like you know, you actually need traction?

the GTO in that article was insane. 7.5 turbo engine. But it still got beat by pretty much everything but the mustang.
