Quick call to John at CCW. Got his new anodized centercaps (lower profile, all metal unlike the old silver plastic ones), along with anodized locking black lugs. World of difference!

no bloody clue who the chromer was, yeah black chrome.
John at CCW sent em off. I think CA somewhere. Slow as hell.
When I bought mine, they were John's first black chrome attempt and he had them in stock. Otherwise, its a 4 month wait. How do I know its a 4 month wait? Well, lets just say never EVER scratch a black chrome wheel and send it off for repair. EVER.

They don't chrome either... I called a few weeks ago hoping to get mine done and John said it's to much trouble. It would be nice to do an exchange with them but no such luck.

The company is American Powdercoat, and yes, they are in CA. They will still do it......it's about a 6-week turnaround. I can't remember for sure, but I want to say it was about $200 per wheel.

I have been talking to them as well and they will do an anodized but he said it'll turn purple from the sun:eek: so that was out.

They can knock off a few hundred if you want just a brushed look because if you're thinking of powder coating it will adhere much better than from a chrome stage.

I have a guy here in Az that just said he does wheels for $50.00 so I might throw him a demo used rim to see what he can do. If so, then this guy's my go to guy for the grill as well.

Urby, did they throw the lugs/caps in for free?

Thanks,
Chef

I can't remember for sure, but I want to say it was about $200 per wheel. They're actually located in the city I live in (Downey, CA). I wanted to get my grill powdercoated but they couldn't due to the shape of the grill. So, I went to another powdercoating place on the next street.

Chef,

He told me that also when I ordered my wheels from him. I still had them anodized black! We'll see how long it lasts. I've had parts anodized before and direct sunlight everyday will bleach most anodized parts. If and when they start to change colour I'll pull the tires and have them powerdcoated black. :bigroll: I have to admit they do look pretty nice right now brand new and still virgin!

Urby that is one beautiful V bro! those wheels kick ass man. i was looking at it earlier and one of my honda boy friends (who thinks imports are the greatest thing ever) even said that car was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. he hates Cadillac's too so that is quite the compliment... anyway NICE!
