Allen Cadillac In Laguna said they were told that the 08 model year will be here in mid September!!!! I think that is pretty optomistic but he said they already placed there order.

tcorbett, just curious but why do you attach pictures of your escalade on almost every post you make? like here, posting a pic of your car has nothing to do with what you posted or the thread.

I wouldn't count on it! That would mean that 2 model years would be released in the same year. We would be up to 2008's in 2006 that's a two year gap. :alchi:

I remember reading or hearing that the NHTSA requires that vehicles which are disignated with a particular model year must, be in production during that year, which would mean that the '07 "model" must remain in production at least until after Jan 1, 2007.

Anyone know for sure?

That would make alot more sense than what they told me. Besides I dont think it would be fair for all the guys that went out and bought a new 07 too have it be last years model only 6 months after they get it.

Can't tell you for sure but the most logical thing for GM to do is keep the 07 going until it's time for the 08 model year.
They did the same thing once ( 1999 truck models I think ) or maybe even twice before to boost sales by coming out 6-7 months early.
This gives them at least 8 months longer or so to keep making the same 07 vehicle without changes to assembly etc. before the next year model comes out and also more time to plan the 08 model.
The thing I have to laugh at is the dealers telling me why they want so much for the 07 over my 04 trade ... because I'd be moving up 3 years.
It may be an 07 on paper but it was still just built in 2006.

its just annoying because when i browse through the titles of threads i see the pic attachment icon on the right. thinking its a pic that has something to do with the title i go through it but its nothing but a pic of your car again. its just annoying and wanted to ask why you do it.
so why do you do it?

Tcorbett, How was your experience with Shoreline? ie:customer serivce, wait time, cleanliest, pricing, etc... I'm looking to do a couple of vehicles and want professional quality highend service.

They were awesome. I have customized my last three cars with three different shops and they are by far the best. The only problem I had was that they have a very small selection in their shop but they can get pretty much every wheel. Pricing was a bit more than most places but it was worth it for the customer service. I drive by their shop practically every day and they do amazing cars. So far this week I have seen 2 Bentleys, a few porsches, an H2 and a Lambo in there. They all come out looking awesome. I would definitly recommend them.
