Does anyone know which cables in the rear view mirror harness are power and ground? What colors? I'm trying to put in an invisicord for my V1.

Thanks

The FAQ knows all (well mostly). :)

Thanks guys but I was looking to simply plug the wires into the mirror wiring harness. http://invisicord.com/index.html It's similar to the faq install I was hoping to simply pop the wires inviscord into the harness.

Looks to me like you should be able to pop the Inviscord wires into the ones described as power and ground in the FAQ link, right? Or am I missing something? :hmm:

Black = ground
Blue wire with WHITE stripe (adjacent to the black wire in the connector - if we call the black wire position 2 in that row (there are 4 wires) then the blue/white stripe wire is position 3) = +12V delay switched.

It looks like the harness in the faq (if I read it right) is the harness from the sunroof. I have the instructions and it's a different color wire for each car. The closest thing they have listed is the C5 - orange and Brown, c6 - Pink and black, STS - Pink and black, Escalade - yellow and black. I'll break out the ole volt meter this weekend and figure out which wire is which. Thanks.

So why not just use the sunroof wiring harness?

I "lucked out" when the dealership replaced my front windshield, the tech decided to clean up the wiring harness and tucked away the excess very nicely. I made sure to tell them it was noticed and appreciated.

Installed the invisicord today. The two wires you need to plug into on the harness are the pink (power) and bare silver wire (ground).

Simply unplug the harness from your rear-view mirror, remove the small cosmetic cover from the back of the harness. Plug the invisord in yellow-pink, black-bare silver. Replug the harness and you are done. The whole process should take less than 5 minutes. No splicing no cutting.
