: Interesting 41 Cadillac over on eBay

While impatiently awaiting my own, I was cruising eBay and spotted a very interisting Cadillac.

It's a 1941 4 door, fully restored body but sits on the frame of a 1977 ElDorado and is powered by the 424 C.I. V-8 with transmission and driveline to match.

The car also has disc brakes all around to match with only 5k miles on the odometer.

The specs say it needs the A/C to be fully worked up and that's all.

Wouldn't that make a whale of a cruiser!

Picture a cross-country drive as people see an old Caddy blasting along in the traffic stream and they realize it's a 1941 and can't believe it's loafing along with traffic at 70 years of age (ho-hum).
Yeah, man, that's Cadillac Quality!

All the goodies of the latter 20th century in a 1941 body.
The 1941 Grille - to me, at least - somehow always ALWAYS, spelled Cadillac. I have no idea why. Maybe I was hit by one and never knew it, but that tight egg-crate just seemed to spell Cadillac.

Nice car. That should be 425ci.

Well, really it *should* be a RWD 500ci motor with a 4L80E trans, but you're right, a '77 chassis would be 425ci. Seems the front wheels are pushed out a bit, probably due to the track width of the Eldo.

Ah what am I saying, that's a beautiful car and I'd love it as soon as I was behind the wheel!
Nice find there, I wonder what the he has the reserve set at?
