: two tone floor mats?

I got some color samples from carmotorsports.com for their floor mats. Their charcoal color is a pretty close match to our carpet. I'm debating on doing light grey for the stitching around the outside of the mat. The color actually lightens a bit when the thread is on its side instead of sticking up like in the carpet.

Anyone seen this before? I was thinking it might bring out the stitching in our seats a little more.

To give you an idea of what I'm thinking about here's a pic of their mats, just imagine the light grey on the outside.

I just did a quick photochop of the two colors I'm thinking of.

Might clash a bit...does not look as good as stock in my opinion.

Maybe buy a new set of stock mats and get them embroidered??

I think the different color stitching on the outside sets it off nicely, but I agree with Poopie D. It doesn't quite match. If you went with a contrasting color instead of trying to match, it might look better. I have the grey carpet interior, and just got my black mats in today from a forum member. They look nice contrasting with the black mat, the grey regular carpet and the two tone grey/ebony leather seats.

I bought some floormats from PFYC. They are Lloyds mats and the have the V logo stiched in. They color match perfect and are top quality. I had seen these other ones that don't really match so I went with the lloyds.

The color sample I have at home is really, really close. Much closer in color than it looks in that picture.
