No sir, just pull afew of the tabs off the front wheel fender well. This will give you direct acess to the fog assembly. The bulbs twist and pull out. I added the silverstars 9005XSST's. others have put in the stock high beam bulbs. A few members have talked about doing HID, but to date I have not seen that. This is a great upgrade that really is usefull on dark roads.

are you talking about the high beam bulb or the little bulb in the corner?

People have been replaceing the corner bulb with an LED. It's size 194 5 LED matrix bulb. Do a search and you can find links.

If you are referring to the High beam that's best replaced with a silverstar or some other brand of Halogen bulb, HID's in your reflector high beam is overkill. Not to mention blinding to any oncoming drivers and it creates CRAZY glare.

To replace the High Beam bulb you must drop the bumper.

Here's a pic of the Fog/DRL from the rear.

That's a great picture Robert. It's not neccessary to remove the wheels is it?

I went to Walmart, or got to pep boy's. The 9005 XSST will plug and play for both the high beams and the fogs. You can also do silverstar ambers for the daytime running lights and the rear turn signals. Those are 3157A ST's. All of these should come in 2 packs. You notice the difference the first time you are next to a CTS with the stock bulbs.(looking at the headlights) You'll definitley see the difference on the road.

It's possible but not easy. I removed my wheels.:)

Much much harder and WAY more work to remove the wheels. Totally unnecessary step & a hassle. When ur working on the left fender, turn the wheels to the right and vice versa when working on the passenger side fender. By turning the wheels u get access to all the needed push pins to remove the fender walls, its simple and easy.

You do not need to remove the wheels, you can just turn them all the way to one side (and then back the other way to do the other side). Removing the wheel will just give you a little more room to work with

EDIT: oops, too slow

I have a air impact wrench. A wheel can easily be removed in less than 30 seconds. If you're a big guy you will want to remove the wheels. And it gives you the opportunity to check your pads and rotors and maybe clean the back of your tires & rims.:yup:

someone posted pics a while back but I can't seem to find them. I replaced mine but I hardly ever use them because I like the look of my HID's more. They are so bright you could drive with just the fogs on (it looks like driving with your headlights on). But they are angled downward so they dont blind oncomming traffic
