Knocked two things off the list today......
The "Dubbed Stealth/Kael" STS-V DRL/Fog swap.:worship: :worship:
A new body colored grill.
Couldn't have done it, wouldn't have done it, had it not been for this site!!

For sure phatty. The V guys are doing it too.
Robert's got them for his V front bumper, so they do fit. I'm sure he will post the pic upon completion.
It was a pretty easy mod....sort of followed the steps in the FAQ.
Taking the housing out and replacing it was the slowest part. On my stock bumper, there are 3 screws holding the housing in. The lower and side are accessable through the wheel well, while the upper is though the body work from the outside. The side screw on the passenger side was the toughest.
Picked the set up from James at Lindsay Cadillac for $262.00 shipped (part of his group buy offer in the vendor forum). Called him on a Monday and UPS dropped them off the following Monday. James!!
As others have done, I also sprayed the top half of amber bulb with some aluminum colored high temp paint. Does a good job of removing the "egg yolk" look behind the clear lens.
Just waiting for somebody to figure out how to change the side lenses now.

I paid $205 at GMPD including S&H. A bit cheaper than Lindsay
Nice Job Frey. Looks like you left the amber bulb in. I used a Silver Star bulb that looks clear and lights up as amber. I also installed the High Beam bulb in the Fogs.
Flip would like your crouch shot:histeric: Sorry Flip..couldn't resist.:)

GMPD was $280+ for me. I get hit with the NC sales tax in addition to their inflated S&H.:annoyed:
Yep....left the amber's in there for now. Still evaluating the upgrade options.
Been trying to ignore the crotch comment:thehand: I'm sure a tripod and the timer could solve that, but I'm too damn lazy to set it up.

JPridge from the V Forum posted the Sylvania Silver Star PN for the clear/amber DRL bulb.
The black painted grill really makes the STS-V lights pop. Black is where its at!!
