my navigation whithout tapping the speedometer wire will it still turn on and have the dvd function/ work for all audio purposes????

Everything will work, except the Nav will display your position at LAX and won't move. Make sure you go to the GPS screen and make sure you see at least 4 satellites. It takes about 6 minutes to download the constellation ephemeris for a warm start, so it remembers your position when you start the car, and which satellites are overhead at any given time. You'll only see about 6 or so at a time out of the 24 active satellites, through the windsheld, since the roof blocks about 1/3 of the sky.

Your VSS wire is in the mail today. You should have it on Tuesday (my guess).
