The TPIS short throw shifter offers shorter and crisper shifting at a reasonable cost. Our part number is 700-285. and the cost is $100.00 exchange. What we have done is to weld an extention to the bottom of the factory lever. the advantage to this is first of all there is no increase in noise inside the cabin, because the nylon pivot is retained. The throw is reduced approx. 30%. The money you save on this product will allow you to step up to our single mass flywheel kit and get rid of the clunk in your drivline.
See our web site for more of our CTS-V parts. WWW.tpis.com (http://www.tpis.com)

I need to buy some old levers that have been taken out.

How about a link that takes us to your CTS-V specific parts. Sorry, but your website doesn't really mention this car, at least not at the link you posted.

How does the TPIS clutch kit get rid of the clunk? Is it becuase it no longer uses a dual mass flywheel? The weight savings look great, how much HP can it handle is one is considering a maggie? Will it survive?

I was under the impression that much of the driveline clunk was caused by the 2-piece driveshaft?

Getting rid of the clunk and weight would be great... Any thoughts on a GB for the clutch kit?

We will send out a modified part to you first, there will be a core charge. I am waiting to see how many levers we get from my post. At this time I have one coming back from Roger Becker, He did the independant test for us. See his post.

As for the clutch kit. We are using a ZO-6 flywheel cover and disc. We are custom balancing all components and providing a spacer. The dual mass flywheel is the clunk in the driveline, also the weight reduction is dramatic. It will shift easyier, the car will also be much friskier.

As for the maggie and the clutch, that depends on you. the clutch will hold, and I am going to guess here, about 550 lb ft of torque. It won't take many full throttle side step the clutch starts. for that you will need better parts.

Our web site goes by engine group and then the component you are looking for. You will see down at the bottom of the online catalog transmissions, look there.

We also have throttle body's, headers, cams, programming.Qa-1 shocks.

As for a group purchase there not much room on a hundred dollar shifter, there is some room on headers. Get 15 folks together and give me a call.

I tried to answer all the reply's at once. If I missed let me know.

We do have a phone, I know it's old fashioned, I will answer it.

I am an old friend of Myron's, and I bought a UCC shifter @$300 before TPIS's was available. While at TPIS last October I drove his TPIS CTS-V with TPIS shifter back-to-back with my UCC shifter. They are both very close with a slight edge to the TPIS I think.
Myron didn't mention another mod he is marketing: a 90 mm throttle body, either his billet TB or the LS2, on a modified LS6 intake. I think he is the first person to market this combination, and it took a bit of engineering to fit the much larger 90mm intake onto the LS6 manifold. The result is seamless and looks entirely OEM. I bought one of his first combinations with an LS2 TB. It produces a large increase over a TPIS ported TB, and has no bad habbits anywhere. Price is much less than a FAST combination and my sense is that it delivers almost the same HP, particularly at mid-range. Myron had an 18 RWHP increase with an oval (74x90mm) TB on a LS6 manifold, and expects about the same with this combination.

You guys have one I sent to you...about 6 months ago.

I asked at that time if you wanted to buy it, as I ended up going another direction.

I will gift it to the greater Cadillac good. Take a few bucks off the next guys order.

How does it get rid of the clunk though????
is it due to less resistance from reduction of weight when pressing the clutch pedal?????? I always thought this would help but the clunk sound comes from the rear when the clutch is engaged.
Also what is teh price for the unit???
